Are you willing to use escrow? It's a pretty standard procedure to use escrow when trading with people from here. This way both parties are safe and no one needs to go first. Anyway, I'd buy a Gut Knife for ~70% if you're up for that.

Escrow for steam items would go something like this (terms can be changed but this would be the general direction):

1. Pick a trusted forum members that would do escrow for steam items
2. Send him the terms seller and buyer agree on
3. Both add him on steam
4. He acquires the money and the items
5. Releases money/items to the appropriate party

Basically like a middleman for cash trades

cant people just buy items from you, then sell it on market for bigger price, after that buy more expensive items and sell it again for bitcoins? wouldnt that be a bit of abusing this?

With the only difference that off-marcet transaction hit lower prices nearly all the time. Steam doesn't let you cash out your wallet's funds too. So there's a reason for the lower prices and the off-market demand.
