Hi Guys!
I'm Veneranda, Venny for friends!;)
So this is my problem..
I'm a coder and i like to "mess with site"..
Let's say this:
If i find a little bug on a big bitcoin casino site (if i test this site for 3 weeks)...
If i code a little program that exploits this bug..
if this bug gives me an advantage and i earn money constantly..(like 1/2 % a day)
If all this condition are true what do you reccomend?
Contact the owner of the site and fix the bug?
Or continue to take advantage until someone else find it?
P.S: I'm not selling anything so keep that in mind!;)

one should recommend to contact the owner of the site to fix the bug and help him, but we know that in reality, it's all different and many will eventually take the road of easy money

Big dilemma.. Earn some money or be a good white hat?.. So little edge compared to earnings of casinos.. I don't know.. |

Are you seriously asking us whether you should steal money or not? If you're a scammer then you will steal the money, but if you are honest you will tell the site owners. Maybe you will be rewarded for your honesty or maybe you wont. I know I would pay a decent tip if its an exploit someone could have stolen a lot of money from.

Well that depends on what type of person you are. You are stealing from the website, which is run by actual people, which is hurting their business. If you can live with yourself being a criminal and being judged by whatever deity you worship, then by all means continue with what your doing.
The casino's usually offer some kind of bonus for these type of things also. Take revel in the fact that your a good person and helped out another human being, don't be an asshole and steal.

No you are wrong, this is criminal activity, and if the casino you are playing at finds out and that you have been exploiting it, you can be brought up on criminal charges. It is no different than if you walked into a brick and mortar casino and starting swiping chips when the dealer wasn't looking. You are picking their pocket by exploiting them. It is most certainly illegal and criminal activity and you will be branded a criminal for doing it. |

Yes you are stealing regardless of what or how you try to justify it. You asked for advice and people gave you it. Report your findings to the site owner and they may reward your honesty. Remember, you could take advantage of the exploit but karma can also come back to bite you in the end. |

No you are wrong, this is criminal activity, and if the casino you are playing at finds out and that you have been exploiting it, you can be brought up on criminal charges. So if i find a pattern (play different games with specific amount of money in a defined order) that give me an edge on the house is criminal activity?.. To be a criminal activity i think that someone take advantage of an "error".. But again this is not an "error".. Well you surely seem to be motivated to try use the exploit until someone finds you out and 'fixes it'. From the sounds of it you seem to be claiming to have found a winning strategy but I doubt you have. I get the feeling you're just trying to rope people in to contact you about the exploit (even though you say this isn't the case). Either that or you've just discovered Martingale and think it's a magic money maker lololol.

If it is a bug/exploit like you previously claimed in the original post, then they will fix it and yay you, you helped out a human being and feel good and have your answer. If they ignore you or say it was part of the design of the game, then you can play it to your hearts content knowing you did everything you could and not have any guilt for taking them for all their worth.

Are you the owner of the Casino? Because is exactly one of the phrases that he said to me... Anyway i was not the first to find this situation (second) and they are working on to fix the issue.. They thanked me and I returned the bitcoin won!;) So now i'm happy and free to go!;) Thank you again everybody! |

You may get lucky if you tell the owner about the bug. If it's a bug that costs him thousands, he may give you something for finding the bug. I think it would be nice to tell him. I guess it really depends on how bad the bug is as well. |

It's not right to take advantage of a site's bug like that, the best think you should do is contact the site owner, make a deal prior to telling them about the bug, if you don't trust them, use an escrow and then let them know the bug and take the bounty.
If you do this, many site owners will hire you to test bugs on their sites and you can earn legit income, but you have to do the right thing first.
