Will CampBX ever learn?

For literally years they've lied to customers and continue to do so.  The only reason I use them is because for amounts less than $1000 you don't have to go through any verification nonsense.

"INSTRUCTIONS: Write your full postal address in "From" field on the face of the money order. Then write following exact message in the "Notes" or "Memo" field near the bottom of the money order:
UN: xxxx EM: xxxxxxxx

Send your mail with delivery confirmation or tracking number. Please note that mail can take 3-7 business days to reach our Alpharetta office. Your account will be credited 2 business days after we receive your money order. Our office is closed on weekends and US Federal holidays.

Use your best handwriting - Unreadable information is the main reason for MO processing delays."

I followed their instructions exactly, as I've always done.

They got my money order last Friday, June 5.

Today is Thursday, June 11.

It's been 4 business days.  Where the hell is my money?

Maybe lying in business is acceptable where they're from, but here it is not.

Did you send them postal money order or a private company money order? Because if you used USPS paper then all the "mail fraud statues" are on your side and it is sufficient to contact US Postal Inspectors to initiate investigation against them. No need to go through stupid arbitration or other customer service bullshit.

Only USPS paper has this enhancement, not Western Union, MoneyGram, or other private providers. That's why all the fraudsters encourage people to use FedEx, UPS, etc.

Lines at the Post Office? Where? Every one I've seen is nearly empty and it is more like lines of underemployed postal clerks standing in front of the office and trying to attract someone to come inside and mail something.

Unfortunately I know nearly nothing about Western Union besides the fact that they are by far the most expensive.

If you have been using CampBX knowing that they have had continuing problems for the last couple years, you have no right to complain. You should give them a call -- it might help, or it might not.

I also have no sympathy for those people who were warned over and over again for months that the demise of Mt Gox was imminent, and yet still kept their money there.

Where else in the US can I send a money order (up to $1000/day) without all the verification garbage?

What good would calling do?  They don't have anyone answering the phone.

WU money orders cost less than USPS money orders.
Where?

I used the respective websites to estimate $750.00 send from&to California and USPS quoted me $1.65 and WU quoted $12.50 (for cash in-person service) to $75.00 (debit via mobile app). I know that WU has negotiated lower rates with some agents, so can you tell us (generally) who's giving you lower fees.

Wow. I had no idea CampBX was still going. I've heard plenty of not so great things about them.

No idea how accurate this is but it's not an inspiring read http://bittrust.org/campbxcom

Considering the potential risks involved I'd either suck it up and verify somewhere or cut a deal on Localbitcoins. If the OP is spending quite a bit they could negotiate a discount from a seller to tame the premiums.

Please read my original post.

I used a money order.

A money order.

Western Union money orders here cost 75 cents at any gas station that has WU.

For $750 you'd need 2 WU MO's so it would be $1.50

If you bought a USPS money order with $750 it would be $1.65

I don't care about 15 cents, but it is cheaper and faster than the Post Office.

Thanks. I guess it pays to ask the WU agent in person. Such a low fees are nowhere to be found on the Western Union's web site.

So I guess the premium charged by the USPS goes partially to their Postal Inspectors police force that makes it easier to put pressure on the non-responsive people who accepted the money.

Yes, I'm confident the USPS would be all over CampBX on my account since they're 2 days late in crediting me.

If you are a senior (over 65 y.o. or over 55 y.o, don't recall) then yes. They have special department/programs to deal with fraud against elderly.

They reversed money back to Dwolla that was mine then closed my account without explanation.

Can someone tell me of an exchange that will take Western Union money orders up to $500 or $1000 per day, and doesn't have verification?

If you're using an Werstern Union and don't want verification then that exchange doesn't exist they can't get the money without getting your details..
