I quit using aftershave years ago after I realized it is a totally useless and unnecessary gimmick.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I've never actually tried it myself, though I've always used an electric shaver anyway (which doesn't need it as much?)

I use aftershave, but also use double edged blades :-) After shave aren't expensive vs modern blades that go for $2 each.

I use aftershave. The brand is Clubman, and it's like $5 (US) for a bottle. I'm about 6 months into one and haven't even used 1/4 of it.

I also use a straight razor, so it's a little more important. And much cheaper than good disposable blades. Between shave soap, new blades, (It's a cheap modern handle that takes them) and aftershave, I figure I spend about $10/year on shaveing and related supplies, not counting water usage, as that's included in my rent. Cost to get started (Handle, brush, mug) was less than $20.

I bought a 100 of double edge blades for $7.... It lasts for me more than year.

Most of my cost is shave soap. Gotta get that about twice a year. Blades last just about forever.

I've never used aftershave...then again I always have had a babyface, and didn't really need to start shaving regularly until my mid 20s.  Now I just use a trimmer and leave my facial hair at stubble length...

I was curious if people who used any form of disinfectant (from fancy lotions to rubbing alcohol) tried omitting this completely? I can see how it might be needed with old-school brushes full of bacteria, but nowadays I think it is unnecessary. I've never had an infected cut. I use a foam or gel and reusable double razors that I rinse and air dry when I'm done.

Do you count ripped up pieces of toilet paper as disinfectant? So far my tests have showed that 100% of the cuts i have plugged with TP do not become infected, so we could infer that toilet paper is a disinfectant!

Wow I forgot about after shave. Haven't used it since my Dad taught me how to shave. I was a very poor and bloody student.  Cry

I use a straight razor (Rolls) and all I use is witch-hazel. I've been using the same bottle for over a year now, it's inexpensive and effective.
