I think the chart is clear. Bitcoin just smashed its face against that clear descending line and pulled back. Do I know that it is going to drop? No, I don't. But I would never buy before a clear break of that line.

Yes, it seems to be absurd based on common sense, but on a market buying at a higher price can make a lot of sense. Buying cheaper can be a serious mistake.

The Rock Trading Exchange forges its order books with bots, uses them to scam customers and is trying to appropriate 35000 euro from a forum member https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4975753.0

snip

just a matter of perspective, to me it looks normal market activity, the price falls a little then gains a little, this is still not a dead cat bounce, for your joy

personally i'll not be fooled by the market now, holding strong until my great target, i'm leaving all this hassle for you, the weak

there'll probably be couple more dead cat bounces and may be one last fakeout due to gemini exchange or some other news. nowadays even bitfinex margin stats are heavily manipulated to mislead plebs. may be okcoin will turn its wee-lee bot on and make us all rich sooner...  Grin anyway speculation aside, once liquidity in china dries up i expect some nasty sell off..

also there is some serious shit brewing up...

pretty good TA and use of trend lines.  I agree, a trend line break there could be a nice buy signal.

490 ish is perfectly doable before next year. All eyes right now are on litecoin tho. Any TA on the current pump? is this one time thing by a whale team that has been silent-buying LTC for months at 1 dollar, or will it bring it back to life? Considering LTC has been around 1 dollar since January 2015, imagine how much some may have stacked right now. Who knows where is the limit within the current ongoing pump? tempted to buy, but it's already 3 dollars, thats like 150%+ gains.

Any TA on the current pump?

he just did.  he basically said it didn't break that major trend line so he would wait.
however, I view it as a bullish impulse spike after a long period of being in a channel,
so I think there's fair chances for it to rise further next week.  obviously keep in mind there's
constant downward pressure on bitcoin that won't decrease till the next halving.

don't think it will go much higher than $260 which is already a decent price. if we manage to stay around the $250 level we should be happy with that.

Not everyone that says there is a big risk that bitcoin will keep going down (for some time more) is a troll. Anyone looking to a bitcoin chart since December 2013 has to admit that those "trolls" have been right.

And if there are some that indeed are trolls and make posts hoping to create some kind of panic sell, they are not only trolls, they seem a little stupid. Bitcoin isn't a scammy alt coin that can be manipulated with a few posts on foruns. The volume is huge and is controlled by chinese exchanges (http://www.bitcoinity.org/markets/list?currency=ALL&span=30d). Most chinese speculators can't read english and they have their own forums. They couldn't care less for some english speaking trolls.

On the other side, the anger reactions against these troll seem to come from members that are afraid that those posts will make the price go down. That doesn't make any sense. Any posts are irrelevant. Let the trolls post. They are irrelevant in terms of price.

If you hate them, just do what I do when someone gets too personal, a nice permanent ignore, without even a fair warning or any answer.

But don't forget to pay attention to what some bearish members post. They have been right for more than 1,5 years. We are on a bearish median-term trend. Don't fight the market by buying now and keeping long positions until there is a reversal.

If the price goes below 240, better think twice.

I think eventually there will be a reversal and it will be the mother of all reversals. A sudden crash and then a recover in V. It will be a lifetime opportunity to buy bitcoin. But there is some risk that the blood and tears will go on for some time more.

Im not saying saying it's going down should be instantly shamed as trolling, but the manners these guys use, and also making new accounts each time, it screams fudster. And yes, there will be an uprise that will make it into history books and tons of people will enter in severe depressions after selling/not buying when they could, and once that happens all those accounts saying bitcoin is going down will get abandoned, which will confirm the fact that these guys aren't genuinely saying it's down, and are indeed fudsters.

Your "dead cat" is bouncing way more than dead things are supposed to, also accidentally declared "dead"  xyz times, but still live and well.
All you need to do is not to look so short term, and u'll see the bigger picture.

why? we should always aim at going up, there is no stop station, only momentary rest for consolidating the new floor

if we can move with 10 usd every two weeks it would be really good already

of course it's better for every one to see the price go up all the time, but it doesn't work like that. traders give and take, not realistic to keep wishing the price to only go up.

the dead cat seems to be so energetic lately, it looks like it likes jumping more. i have been waiting for sub $220 but it never came to pass. i think there are some lost opportunities for some.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Because that would go against his FUD agenda. These guys always interpret graphs the way it fits their motive better and try to pass it as universal truth.
