Bill Gates' wealth is growing like a snowball. Now it is 79.3 billion USD
Satoshi, with roughly 1 million bitcoin, is worth 250 million USD. Thus, Satoshi's fortune is hundreds of times smaller than Bill Gates.

Who do you think will reach 1 trillion first and why?

Satoshi is the one with the best chance mainly because I assume Bill wants to leave the world having spent most of his bread.

His wealth maybe be growing like a rolling snowball but he is not even 10% of the way to the trillion which you are speaking. Satoshi and his 1 million bitcoin is not worth $250million, go try and sell 100,000 coins you will see what it does to the market. Neither of them will become a trillionaire but Gates will be the closest.

depend, if he sell small amount per time, without crashing the market, he can sell all his bitcoin at currenct market price or slightly less

otherwise by selling everything at once, you would crush the entire market, and more than half of his million will be waste at 100 or sub 100 price

but i doubt he is that stupid, to do such a thing

Bill Gates might live for 30 more years or longer. Whether he becomes a trillionaire depends on what the dollar does. I believe the dollar will eventually experience a hyperinflation event. Microsoft will do well because it will keep selling XBOXes in China or whatever while the USD tanks. He will get a trillion dollars but they will be worth less than 350 billion is today.

Perhaps Satoshi becoming a trillionaire also depends on the same hyperinflation event.

Satoshi will be the first trillonaire because we are at the bottom of BTC now and he would need something along the lines of 1MM per BTC, which is a given during our lifetimes. What I doubt is Satoshi still owns all of those coins at this point, also im not sure how old he is, he would need to be rather young to make it.

Do you have proof we are at the bottom right now? I am looking for facts not fairytale from some nutt jobs dream. How on earth did you come to the valuation of $1million per bitcoin? $1 million per btc in our life time is a "given" lol Satoshi doesn't seem to care about his coin, we haxve after all been to $1000+ and he never touched any hmmm

No one.

They both will die before 1T is a feasible fortune for a human being alone, due to inflation. Might take 1 century or more.

And Microsoft is not the leader in technology since some time, so I doubt his fortune will increase, and since he has much more money than he could spend, I doubt he will make serious efforts to make it grown more than 10x.

Only feasible scenario I can think that would make someone be trillionaire is if one can develop a tech that turns out to be the basis of all future technology, like the electricity is the base of all current technology.

There are already trillonaires out there, they just don't pop up on Forbes because they've spreaded their wealth among their family members in purpose to not count as a single individual, but anyone that doesn't think some of the top Rothchilds couldn't own 1 trillion each is delusional. To super mega wealthy wouldn't benefit from being on Forbes.

Yep, there are the Rothchilds, Kissenger and those who are not so much in the public eye that will have a stupid amount of money, funding wars etc,

Meh not sure why people are saying Bill gates , He have to sell a lot of stuff to get that as far as I know , it's not like he have 80 billions cash on banks . Also It took him a lot & a lot of years to have those 80 billion we are talking about here , It took Satoshi probably few years but not that much to develop BTC then have 1 million coin , So the first the price rise , he is a trillionaire without any efforts . no taxes and no shit
But he will need some time too , we have to pass by level which are the halving block reward over the years. also most likely Bill gates will die before reaching One trillion dollar  Roll Eyes

No one has 80 B in bank, let alone in cash.

They measure how rich someone is by how much all the stuffs they think they own are worth, according to the measurements of whoever is making the calculations.

You might disagree with their measures, but it is the same measure for everyone, and wouldn't be much different for satoshi because he can't just dump trillions and expect to get the money, so most of their fortune would be unable to be cashed out instantly, much like most of the rich's money are, because they would need to sell their stuff(gold/houses/Microsoft's/etc..)

If we are talking in terms of USD, neither. Bill Gates, couldn't reach that level of capitalization if he tried. Consider that in order to accumulate $1T, you'd have to combine the net worths of the 24 richest billionaires in the world, and they come from all sorts of sectors.

As for Satoshi, $1T means that each bitcoin would have to cost $1M.

Don't think either is happening.

As for people who spout out stuff about the Rothschild family, if you combine all of their option-styled monies, that would be a few trillion, but in terms of pure M0 and RFC assets, it's only a fraction of that.

I'm also seeing insane comments about their overall value being worth in the hundreds of trillions. Think about it, the global M3 supply is estimated to be around $78T; if you assume those estimates are extremely conservative, you could create a value that is around $130T. For those of you who claim that their fortunes are multiples of that, you really need to take a pause and think about the validity of that...
