Is there any news that make bitcoins going up these days? Bitcoin Conference 2012 in London is one reason, I believe. Lots of announcements and sharing of Bitcoin innovations.

More people using Bitcoin, more trades/exchanges... No, I believe the number of bitcoin nodes has been on a steady decline for some time now. Alt-clients offer more convenience for casual users, and they have been getting increasingly better. The sudden spike is likely due people wanting to tinker with the new release. Could be wrong though.
