How is bitcoin better than litecoin?

bitcoin has more active, dedicated developers while litecoin has not so active developer.
there are far more places that you can spend your bitcoin but the same thing is not true about litecoin.
bitcoin is (sort of) the original idea but litecoin is just a copy with no useful new feature.
bitcoin has higher price, market cap, user, hodler in comparison with litecoin
in the end litecoin price history shows a dying coin minus the recent Chinese pump

yes bitcoin devs are a little too active of late  LOL...especially most having hands in many cookie jars (conflicts of interest both sides of recent debates).

Because it came first, it's more well known, people pay more for it, litecoin was just a fork of bitcoin, scrypt isn't as popular as SHA-256.....

Litecoin can handle a higher volume of transactions thanks to its faster block generation. If bitcoin were to try to match this, it would require significant updates to the code that everyone on the bitcoin network is currently running.

Yet LTC has almost no transactions so there will never be a need to scale litecoin

Bitcoin isn't better it's just adopted and taken better by the mainstream.  Bitcoin could easily be Litecoin and we'd be in the same position, but Bitcoin reached the market first.

Of course bitcoin reached the market first, litecoin is a fork of bitcoin. Litecoin wouldn't have been possible without bitcoin.
