Allow? Are you asking if it should be allowed? I don't smoke but people should be free to choose to do what they want as long as it doesn't effect anyone else negatively. I don't want to have to breathe that shit in restaurants though so Im glad they dissalowed it in places like that.

LOL, nice troll. not sure what OP means -- in the case that we own a retail business or something? in our home? businesses here in the US generally can't allow smoking indoors. i don't allow smoking inside the house -- we have cats, and also don't want our stuff to smell like shit -- but we smoke on the balcony and allow others to. |

Long term professional smoker here. I think some public places should allow smoking (or at least have a choice) though I respect the fact that non-smokers do not want to breath in my smog. Have to say bars and clubs smell a lot nicer since the ban so it can't be all bad.
what exactly constitutes a "professional smoker"?  |

I don't smoke but I ain't anti-smoking/tobacco, people are free to do whatever they want to do with their lives but I avoid places where people are allowed to smoke inside and I avoid people who smoke when I am around because second hand smoke is more harmful.

There is nothing wrong with smoking and nobody should really be anti-tobacco. Stop hating on others for choosing something else. However, I do agree that there should be places where smoking is allowed and where it isn't.
It doesn't have to be banned completely, as I've seen bars, lounges that have only a corner for smokers. With decent ventilation it shouldn't be that big of a problem for others.

I'm fine with people smoking but agree with the bans on restaurants, bars, public places, etc. It is the individual's choice but the act of smoking affects others in the area. If it didn't affect others unwillingly, I'd be all for allowing smoking. Some of the vapor stuff may change my opinion but smoking currently has no place in public places.
