Hi
I am new here, heard about bitcoins a while ago, but never got into it.

Free Money Day is so cool! Thanks for posting the link.

I would like to take you up on your offer,
I am totally into learning how it works!

Thanks so much!

Where were you a week ago!?!?!?! LOL...

At any rate, it's cool that you're doing this for newbies and at the very least I've learned about private keys and their associated danger, thanks!!!

Newbies: SERIOUSLY appreciate what is being done here for you. I've been here about a week and haven't made my first full bitcoin yet, it's NOT easy...

It's easy.... It just cost money to make money....

Hola Cheesy

These past 2 months have been my only experience with BTC, and I've successfully passed through some coins. I've also used PGP keys, which is why I think I'll understand BTC private keys.
I've only used ewallets to do my one time storing and tumbling. Seems to work well. Any other suggestions for security?

How exactly do BTC private keys work, is it the same fundamentals as pgp public keying?

Anyways, Id love to take your offer on the free btc Cheesy

Thank you for the BTC!   Smiley

Thank you also for:
a. Using your gift to motivate me to further explore Bitcoin.
b. Pointing out blockchain.info which really made things simple.
c. Giving me a chance to make some legitimate posts to escape "newbie" land.
d. Educating me about Free Money Day.  Consistent with the premise of the holiday, I'll be sure to pass along at least half of what you sent me.  Probably as a donation to one of the faucets since that seems to be the first place all of us newbies go to get familiar with BTC!

Thank you for the BTC and for showing me an easy way to import the privkey, all that command line crap was driving me nuts and I couldn't get it to work...

Anyone else who gets BTC from this thread, I HIGHLY recommend just getting a wallet at blockchain.info importing the key there and then sending the BTC to your normal address from the blockchain wallet. It is MUCH easier than trying to import via command line...

Thank you again Sev!!!

Actually he didn't show me. I tried to learn the command line method myself from the BitCoin Wiki. Really all Sev did was suggest getting a wallet at blockchain.info and from there it was simple to figure out the rest on my own...

Sounds good! I've been lurking for a bit so what better time to sign up hhaha.  Although I read about bit coins, I don't actually have any. I found some items that I want where the seller only accepts them so I'm finally getting started.  Dare ya to hook me up!  Cheesy
