What do you think, which coin will make a bigger jump in the price? Litecoin or Bitcoin.
Of course bitcoin will be forever the number 1, because it was the first decentralized cryptocurrency. But when for example bitocoin rise to 1000 Dollar = the price will jump 4 times.
The litecoin price is now 3 dollar, this mean it would jump 4 times = 12 dollar. Because the litecoin price rise automatiquement when the bitcoin price rise.
But when the last time bitcoin jump this high the litecoin price was at 50 dollar, this mean the price was 16 times higher than the bitcoin price.
Do you would better invest in bitcoin or litecoin (only in the next 12 month)?

Hands down I will always buy and hold bitcoin, because the movement of litecoin is often rely on bitcoin, at times when bitcoin really rise in price litecoin will be really backward, this happened few years ago when bitcoin was $0.50 and litecoin was $0.1 but the speed of bitcoin was great due to people interest and investments which litecoin is lacking.

Ive been thinking a lot about this. And now since LTC has risen to around 3 it does make me wonder about buying more litecoin because of its potential to rise faster compared to bitcoin. I bought into ltc for the first time earlier this year around 1.70 and I'm pleased at its performance so far. Im also contemplating about converting many of my btc to ltc for the sole purpose of trading it back to btc in the future. Invest directly in BTC (safer) but buy then trade LTC (riskier).

The litecoin price is now 4 dollar, i think will be up to 5$ and bitcoin from 240 up to 300$

ahh, if you are asking just about multiplying the value, I think, that litecoin had higher changes, anyway for long-term and as investment option, bitcoin is way to go.

I would divetsify.. Put some in btc and some in ltc. Less reward if ltc spikes like last time, but less risk in case it somehow fails completely.

For making money LTC is better than BTC. BTC may be the main currency but in terms of Return-Of-Investments Altcoins outperform BTC on a regular basis. I achived a Roi of 60-70x(yes 60000-70000%) rise at the last peak when BTC was at 1000usd. And i am not a early adopter, i started trading in July 2013.
So when you ask between BTC and LTC , LTC wins in terms of ROI. But there are other promising coins that give you much larger gains. If you want making money start learning how ;-). First Rule learn from others BUT make your own decisions. So the Reason to by in this Case is not becuase i say by Litecoin, its because you should check which one has a better ROI. Also only invest what you can afford to loose.

You can do both...and adapt a trick from pro investors. It's called "repositioning." Start off with, say half in Bitcoin and the other half in Litecoin (Pick whatever allocation you like, but 50%/50% makes this illustration easier.) Then, pick a fixed day in the month - say, the first of each month. On that day, calculate the BTC value of your litecoin. - If that value is more than your BTC holdings, sell enough Litecoin to make the values equal. - If that value is less than your BTC, buy enough Litecoin to make the values equal. In either case, the values of each are back to even-steven after you reposition. The trick here is to buy a little Litecoin if BTC is outrunning it, and vice versa if LTC is outrunning Bitcoin. This way, if BTC benefits from a pump and LTC goes into a mega-pump, you'll sell some LTC and bank profits when the LTC market is manic. And vice-versa if the LTC market is depressed. If the old saw about Litecoin being leveraged is true, you'll make more this way than if you just passively HODL.
