been lurking here awhile. made a account a month ago.
Great! Welcome! We're glad to have you join us.
just because i'm new here i'm by default labeled a scumbag scammer.
What? Who labeled you a "scammer"? I don't see anything about you in
Scam Accusations, and I don't see any negative feedback at all on
your trust page. Why do you think you've been "labeled a scumbag scammer"?
i made a topic in currency exchange and it got moved to one of the shadiest places i have ever seen (moved to digital goods).
So, you created a new thread in the "Currency Exchange" sub-forum. In your thread you offered to exchange bitcoins for $25 visa giftcards (vanillavisa.com). One of the moderators of the "Currency Exchange" sub-forum felt that your request was more of a "digital good" (a gift card number) than a "currency" (U.S. dollars, Euros, etc), and therefore moved the thread to the "Digital Goods" sub-forum. And you are not happy about it?
the one damn time i needed help this happens.
What sort of help do you need? If you're looking to exchange a digital good, then list your offer in the digital goods sub-forum so people that want the digital good can find you. If you're looking to exchange actual currency, then list your offer in the currency exchange sub-forum so people that want the currency can find you.
for a month i tried to help others (most ignored me).
Thanks for helping out. It's much appreciated. How do you know they ignored you? Perhaps they were very happy that you helped them out.
never asked for a damn thing.
Not sure what this has to do with anything, but feel free to ask for help whenever you need it.
my offer was pretty good as well.
Yes, a 20% markup is VERY good for the person supplying the bitcoins as long as there are no issues with any of the gift cards.
news flash bitcointalk veterans: i have been online since 1996.
Ok. Why should we care? I know people that have been online since the 1980's I also know people that just got online for the first time this year. What does that have to do with the conversation at hand?
not every new person here is a scammer kid living in their parents basement.
You are correct. Some of them are scammer adults living in their parent's house. Some of them are scammer kids living in someone else's house. Some of them are scammer adults living in their own house. Some of them are police or other law enforcement authorities. a few are honest trustworthy people (both kids and adults). How would anyone know for certain which one you are? Why should they take a risk until their is some evidence of your nature?
i even said escrow since i'm new here.
Wonderful. Escrow can't protect everyone in every situation, but it can help in many situations.
you want people buying and using bitcoin, yeah?
Not particularly. Those that want it will buy it. Those that have it, and don't want it, will sell it. It's a pretty simple process. Beyond that it doesn't much matter to me whether any particular individual buys or sells bitcoins.
well, being labeled a thief by default does not help your cause.
/rant
Who labeled you a thief? Why do you care what some random unknown person on the internet might have said? On the internet (and generally anywhere else in life) is usually safer not to place too much trust in anyone until they have provided some evidence that they can be trusted.
