What was your best experience with BTC. Your most epic win.

Mine was betting my last BTC on the 1.5% odds on SatoshiDice only to find that I actually WON! Very lucky.

It ended up being enough to buy an ASIC rig.

It ended up being enough to buy an ASIC rig.

the max bet for that 1.5% is under 30 btc, the payout on 1.5% is about 40x, so that's around 1,200 btc roughly  that you could have won.  approaching the amount of an fpga rig.

apparently quite a few large bets have been placed on these longshots: http://blockchain.info/charts/received-per-day?address=1dice5wwEZT2u6ESAdUGG6MHgCpbQqZiy

Yes, it is REALLY addictive. Perhaps that was the real win -- spending it before I lost it.

Solved my first block today.
Just fixed someone's wallet an hour ago.
And doxed a scammer last week. Found where he lived, called the cops on him, and let his family know he's a dirt bag.

Positive rep with: pekv2, AzN1337c0d3r, Vince Torres, underworld07, Chimsley, omegaaf, Bogart, Gleason, SuperTramp, John K. and guitarplinker

assuming that you bet 1 coin or less, that would get you about 120 coins,(or less) right? which would be enough for a bfl sc single.. not a sc mini rig, correct?

We should set up BTC gambling addiction hotlines & would do so much better than regular ones if every fifth caller was a BTC winner. Wink

apparently quite a few large bets have been placed on these longshots: http://blockchain.info/charts/received-per-day?address=1dice5wwEZT2u6ESAdUGG6MHgCpbQqZiy

The payout on X% bets is around 100/X times.  For 1.5% that would be 66.666x.  The actual bet is 1.52% and the payout is 64x.

The biggest win so far on that bet is http://www.satoshidice.com/full.php?tx=a45e844c6d3932cdca983d308ec546e35422af411f311809f1343d23b34fed83 where the player bet on 3 different bets at the same time, and won 352 BTC on lessthan 1000.  OP seems to suggest he only bet on the 1.5% bet, so that's probably not him.

The 2nd biggest 1.5% win (http://www.satoshidice.com/full.php?tx=e6e19c730ceae47964846bdec86f984ff953bd8b2a1ce14fbb20bc123aa1e7cd) also bet on 3 different bets in the same transaction.  That one won 316 BTC on the 1.5% bet.

So did the 3rd biggest 1.5% win (http://www.satoshidice.com/full.php?tx=201ab780b165bf3a4a6d4f1753d67ddd66c4a999e05075101dca2a63b50cd6af), winning 256 BTC on the 1.5% bet.

So I guess OP won less than 256 BTC from his bet.

First time I Taught a client of mine (I run my own servers) and used bitcoin to do an international transfer of money for a client who makes regular payments to me for a webservice and programming I provide him.
Afterwards we calculated how much the difference in fees we were paying before in our previous method, to how it's done via bitcoins.

Lets just say he was very happy to save a considerable amount of money a year in a service he was already happy with and has been for 5 years. It's moments like that, that is why I like bitcoin, because it gives small business' owners like myself a little something different.
