poclbm is not recognizing that I have a GPU. I changed the --device=0 line to device=1 and it flashed an error message saying to choose from the following devices, the only one being my CPU. I have the AMD APP thing installed. GPU CAPS Viewer says I have OpenCL installed. GUIMiner only shows my CPU under devices. If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 GPU but poclbm only recognizes Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU.

I have the same issue:

I just installed a 5858.   The device is installed properly in windows,  I can even control the clock speeds and fans, but guiminer or poclbm does not see the device.......arrrgggggg

UPDATE:
I had to reinstall all utilities & current drivers, after a reboot I am online:)  yippeee...   234M/hash  at slush's

I have the same issue.

I have two laptops, both with ATI Radeon Mobility cards. In both cases the newest ATI suite will not update my drivers, and the laptop manufacturers do not seem to have new drivers.

I used the ATI SDK to get openCL up on both machines, but gpu caps viewer also only recognizes my cpu as being the only "CL device."

I am close to giving up, tbh.
