We should rename the coin to "Greedy bastard Bob"
You are stupid man. Most of coins mined in start, first ~10 hours. This guy connected to mine only in last ~2-2.5k blocks i think he hold max. 7-10% of all POW coins.

DEV, any plans, news about coin?

Rank    Username     Blocks    Coins Generated

WTB octane PM me offers

i could sell, but how do you determine price to pos coin without exchanges..?

divide your expectation of the market cap by the number of coins

so we have a supply of 1,000,000. new coins are debuting with 2-8 btc market caps these days. so this will probably trade somewhere between 200-800 sat in the early going. if you think this coin is likely to trade higher than other alts you could go higher.

Anything else happening here?
Seems to be very little activity for a brand new coin with new tech....

Wouldn't be wise if you would hardfork the coin reactivate the POW for let's say 1 more month with the same rewards with POS and increase block spacing to 60 seconds so it wouldn't affect estimated total coins?
New algo would be an attraction to this coin but with such a small POW period it lost the interest no GPU miner, standalone windows miner has been developed for it. Longer POW would deffinitely increase the interest in the coin. Just sayin...

Right now is just another POS coin nothing new

Why exactly? how is it different from other x11/scrypt/sha 'short' pows ? there were 11,520 pow blocks btw. Like it or hate it, distribution has been made. You can't demand to go back to 2009 for low diff btc, it doesn't work like that. FUD away now.

Man it was a suggestion you can barely call it as FUD. It seems that you didn't understood what i said. I  agree with you that it is not different from other short POWs that's what bothers me. New algo should be exploited better than just a 3 day POW

when working win wallet came out 750++ blocks were mined
when ocminer helped to solve howto compile linux wallet 800++ blocks were mined
=upto 240000 coins instamined by devs node

bnProofOfWorkLimit = CBigNum(~uint256(0) >> 8 );
genesis.nNonce   = 39;
so the starting diff was 5,960464477539063e-8=0.0000000596
there was a rule on source to get it higher but it was not used

height: 750 nonce: 578314 (0,34secs to solve with one core)
actual average 1-750blocks is 2.4secs per block
actual average 1-11520blocks is 12.8secs per block
easy mining, like my coffee maker could do the same

last pow block was found only in one sec with nonce 3935091433
that equals about 2500 cores mining on it with in 1 sec,
else saying: there was a gpu miner/botnet called Bob on this coin
his speed is a question but we should be talking about hashpower of 4Gh/s
it is also possible to get this speed with several 32 core vps servers, but it costs you real money
lucky he got only under 100k coins if he was a free rider.
if he paid his power it is fair.

so it is possible we have about 350k coins in two big wallets..

atleast he could give instructions how to fix octane-qt.pro to get it compile with windows qtcreator
ocminer gave us instructions howto fix linux makefile, but that is no help with win qtcreator file

got it compiled with qtcreator but qt.pro file has some errors to fix

if the dev wont show up we need to do something..
it is shame to waste new algo, new coin like this.
if you have any ideas for future changes post it here

if dev shows up my message will be removed.
Chill bro, good stuff coming & we pushed some nice optimizations to github and solved cpu spike few users reported.

New Windows wallet posted v1.2 & github updated, fixes CPU pegging in octane-opencon connections thread, turns off debug.log logging by default unless debug=1 is on to reduce disk thrashing.

How do you expect to take this coin when the user "bob" in Suprnova mined all the coins some days ago? Some of us mined, but not for having a stake.
