getting a bunch of orphaned staked blocks  Huh in fact, none of them have been accepted........

Yeah me too. I've got 1 accepted out of around 100

Edit i got now accepted 2 in a row there is still some bug in staking i guess

It on block 2115 and the POS reward given in the wallet is 70 OCTN but the OP shows that is should be 100 OCTN

Like the coin and the wallet, it feels very different from the recent cpu coins like the pieces of shit dropcoin and supcoin, this one feels like eh.... 'real mining'  Tongue apart from only getting one accepted stake block from a bunch of them

also something new to me or that i had not noticed in other wallets is that every new found block goes to a different address... is this common?

hashmeter      0 khash/s
hashmeter      0 khash/s

https://github.com/jamescoineron/octane/pull/1

Code:
hashmeter   1353 khash/s
hashmeter   1289 khash/s

That's on a Sandybridge i3 1.40GHz × 2/2, entry-level laptop. Blake2b is very quick, takes full advantage of onboard ASIC. A good choice for minimising GPU advantage over CPU, I've always thought.

Cheers

Ok it probably because of this fast block speed, possibly too fast....
Many more blocks are going to conflict.

Ah interesting to see, Blake2 should be ideal for FPGA's and/or smaller devices like Raspberry Pi's etc.

I'll add a Pool and CPU Miner later when I got some spare time !

So there is no GPU miner for blake2 ?

There is currently nothing but in-wallet mining for blake2, its a new algo.

This is blake2s, sia uses blake2

But sia is not stratum compatible, so there is, as far as i know, no stratum compatible miner for use with sia.

Okay Pool is up:

https://oct.suprnova.cc

Doing some final tests with the CPU-Miner and the hashing speed, got some strange quirks there, as soon as they're fixed I'll post the miner here, shouldn't be long.
