Speed of delivery is of the essense. Don't waste time and money buying power supplies and building fancy cases for it. There's a good chance difficulty could skyrocket before Feb. Every day saved is crucial to profitability.

Yes and no. Every day you mine at a lower difficulty means you pay it off that much sooner, but 60GH/s @ 1300 is THE BEST speed/$ ratio out there.

It's China dude. You can hire people to assemble and solder boards 12 hours a day 7 days a week for $200 or less a month by the tens of thousands.
----------------------------------------
Quite true but I know that China can buy and sell our ass hundreds of times:) It is just a matter of time this to happen. Back to the topic - I do not think that they can hire qualified people for 200 even in China. As far as i know 200 USD workers are something like "freelancers". They are farmers and are coming to the factory on a project base. What they do is farming mostly. I personally do not like the idea my ASIC to be soldered by farmer who had a good sleep a month ago, with eyes semi closed thinking about cows, chickens rise or whatever is left in the farm and so on..what about you? But as i said despite of hardware assembling itself..Their know-how is the bitstream or whatever it is called if such thing exists for ASICS and believe me they WILL NEVER outsource it. What i mean is that in any case they will have to do some of the work by themselves... Or at least testing ...
Pretty humorous. *** is reportedly installing a 'pick and place' system to do the SMT themselves. Ok, if you don't have libertarian leanings and do take issue with what's going on with *** right now - think about your purchase decision carefully. Even if you are 'locked in' to *** right now, as most are, there are alternatives for future purchases. All of them from relatively reputable members of the community.

What are we talking about here? Per month? That's still unbelievably low for selling ASICs @ $1299 or $1999 per piece.

Important Notice 1, if your order is large than 30 units, please contact " info@avalon-asic.com " immediately, no matter is or isn't contact before. there will be a head start in pre orders for large orders greater than 30. 2, about payment: confirmed accept bitcoins and wire-transfer, and bitcoins will have much higher priorities. credit card is still considering (maybe NOT support by some reason). 3, for Chinese customers only: 国内在预定后,可以通过支付宝直接付款,银行转账,以及淘宝拍下预订商品的方法付款。

700USD a month? Yes, 700$/month. At curent exchange rate 3.2PLN/USD. So its not so horrible to live in china I can bet that living costs are smaller there. Here I have to pay 0.75$ for bread.

If it works with p2pool you should be able to merged-mine the full array of coins the Massively Merged Mining project mines and even more (there are some it dropped due to their being too resource-intensive, such as geistgeld). -MarkM-
