Hello,
I had done an order of Avalon-ASIC last week, I choosed Bitcoin paid method and I have paid this week but the status of the order is "Pending Bitcoin".
Can you clear the situation of my order?
(The order number is #200000528)

#200000528 .... hmm more then 300 pre-orders? i don't know, maybe there are 300 pre-orders, just strange order number , and it is not a big problem if it are a few more sold, would be interesting to know how much exactly , to know the amount of ghash added to the network, but that is all just speculation anyhow..

no, the order # is random, and there are many canceliations in the queue.

we maybe accept new order in the future (with another delivery time), but this batch is only 300.

Hmmm, so Avalon is now promising 64 Gh minimum and 400 W power consumption maximum. And all while not discounting potential further improvements further on in the development process.

Interesting...

Does that mean now, that the regular Avalon price is $ 1299 Huh
Where is it now the preorder advantage of $ 700  Huh
What's with the "Leading ASIC rig in its field, outperform dollar for dollar, the leading competitor by 20Gh/s"  Huh

It's also interesting to note that Avalon released these updated specifications after they stopped taking pre-orders. And there does seem to be a hint that the pre-order price will stick once the second production run starts.

If you are interested in buying Icarus boards to mine today, then upgrade it to ASIC whenever avalon ASIC is available, check my Icarus sale thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=115154.0

Better performance, more energy efficient, it must be a completely different project. It's all two months before shipment. What will be next? What if   BFL  increase  performance their Single "SC" to 120Ghash? Avalon  beats them with 240Ghash? and BFL  beats Avalon  with 480Ghash? In a few months they probably will offer several Thash/s chips but in this way they not finish any project still starting new ones  Wink I hope not Smiley

What I want to say is:
It's not fair to promote the first batch with: "Order now for $ 1299 instead of $ 1999" and 2 days after people have paid, to reduce the normal price at $ 1299!
That's bullshit!
I feel misled!

If this would have done BFL, we would have 10 new threads!!!!

I don't understand... You ordered because you thought the price would be higher later?

When you ordered you knew the price going in.  You ordered.  Will you order more now if I tell you that ASICs will be worth $1 in 10 years?

1 TH/s at $1500? Surely not?

Edit: $2235 once the x1000 units pre-orders are satisfied. Yikes.

All current ASIC vendors got served by these guys (who are these guys?)
