Taken from this thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1106417.0

I thought more people needed to be made aware.

1) well, They claim to have a company set up in UK. they dont.

Hashnet Ltd.
West Midlands
B4, Birmingham
United Kingdom
support@hashnet.co

^^ This is not even a true legitimate address, No postal code, birmingham is a big place (I know, I used to live there) - B4 is a postal district but that is only it. a large district (almost a town in itself), No way for anyone to contact them with that address.

Apparently they are also known as Hashnet Mining LLC - a completely different name to Hashnet Ltd

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hashnet-Mining-LLC/104158506586743

an also known by their Founder as Hashnet LLC

https://forum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/1752

Which in the UK (where they are apparently registered but not) You cannot get an LLC (They are PLC, Public Limited Company) Not limited liability company.

2) Whois privacy, Big No-No, They shouldn't be trying to hide anything especially if they have a company set up.

3) Shared hosting - I imaging that any legitimate business who expect high load and have tools to connect to their "equipment" wouldn't be using shared hosting

4) According to this page (http://web.archive.org/web/20150526120324/http://www.hashnet.co/) they are using Bitmains AntminerS5, Maybe we should invite Bitmain to comment on this?

Altogether this setup appears to be a shambles. I would not invest here, it looks like a complete ponzi scheme / scam

As we have told you OP, we did not have the paperwork when our beta service has launched. You criticised us the day of our beta release calling us a scam after doing some research of yours.

Our company is incorporated under Hashnet Ltd. in England and in Wales with a company number of 09683223. We used whois protection and shared hosting for out alpha testing and we are going to move on from those with the release of the final website.

So I kindly ask you to modify your thread accordingly. I do not want you to change your mind regarding our service, or to invest. But I would like to ask you to remove the scam accusation that you impetuously published on this highly visited forum.

Thank you for your cooperation, and I hope that some day we can do business together.

Best,

Do you or any of your company have past connections with GAWminers, or Josh Garza?
