What do you like best about bitcoin?

For me, it is about technology which I think is what makes bitcoin special. Who would have thought you could have a currency that is supported by the network maintained solely by the community. Nobody can shut it down, nobody can control it

It's anonymous. But the problem is for example someone try to purchase drugs using bitcoin. This become a new era of transaction without being notice.

There is pro and contra about it, it is just the same as fiat, you can't make something in a prefect condition, there will be some who support you and some who dont so just let it flow

The best thing in bitcoin is, I can save it in my own bank, blockchain, and get full control of it. We don't need the teal banks anymore, and don't let them take our money.

The disadvantage IMO, what will happen if internet get shut by some accident or disaster... I think there's no way out to recover our bitcoin once that happen

Lets say if they got disaster they must have something to backup their internet and there is no way that they will shutdown the internet, because the new era which is going is online so everyone need online things, who didnt have any internet can't compete in outside

well in theory miners can shut it down, in the remote case  that it would not be profitable for them, and they are actually controlling bitcoin, the good thing is that they are not a single entity, like with fiat...

the whole POW is the real weakness of bitcoin

Unfortunately with every bitcoin pros there we have cons:
1. Decentralization is great idea in theory the best feature bitcoin has - but bitcoin can't exist in its current state without satellite services so bitcoin is not completely decentralized.
2. Fast transactions are fast... but not fast enough - sometimes, when network is slowed down and you need to wait 15 minutes for confirmation.

So if the internet get shut, the whole country will get many problems then. Not only affect us and our access to bitcoin, but also banks, the governments, online shop, public service, market, and many more.

Why is buying drugs a problem? I think that's one of its benefits. If people want to buy drugs let them. The law should go after real criminals not criminals they themselves have created from their draconian policies.

Its easy to move.

It is not inflationary - so wealth will not be worthless if held for a long time. Makes it (eventually) great to store wealth in.

Being anonymous (because I live in a well working country with high trust, but if I was in a less function country or if I was a criminal this might be an issue - the only reason left would be for taxation...which is a nice thing granted..).

High volatility. This creates as many good opportunities as challenges.

Cannot be securely stored easily.

and maybe down the track.. high confirmation times could be an issue.

Yeah, that is pretty precisely what bitcoin does well in my opinion too.

I like bitcoin because of the technology, it's safe to move around and make transactions, it has improved from the traditional payment method because you don't have to physically go to a bank to deposit your coins, which makes it very fast and convenient to use. This is the main reason. And also I love bitcoin because there's so many ways we can earn our coins, just like dollars, I believe one day bitcoin or another cryptocurrency will take over dollars.

Bitcoin is irreversible -- that's one thing I like. On the other hand, I also like how it can be accessible everywhere just using your smartphone. Although gaypal has the same option, bitcoin on the other hand has more value and as i said, irreversible. The technology behind bitcoin is also unique and good. Very secured too.

it is both a benefit and a problem at the same time!
it is true that you can anonymously buy drugs and other illegal substances with bitcoin, and stay away from the law and getting caught.
but at the same time this is an illegal activity that is being done by bitcoin, after a while if this grows, bitcoin will be advertised by the media as money for criminals.
this is bad and will cause many people to stay away from bitcoin as a result. even countries might ban using bitcoin because of it.
