Well you can conclude this on your own by simply analyzing who is currently on this list. You don't get automatically added to that list.
They pick out people manually once they feel that someone should be added. Having a high number of trust is not the only deciding factor. I guess trustworthiness and accurate judgement/behavior towards others will definitely increase your chances. We've had people ask about this multiple times. People who go for default trust list are less likely to get into it than people who don't.

You should definitely take a look at the default trust visualization that was made by dogie.

you'll get added to the default trust when someone that is already listed there adds you in their trust list, not just theymos or badbear.
you won't get added to the DT automatically no matter how many green trust point you have in your profile or how many BTC you've traded.

Oh ... So I guess that list isn't useless as I thought afterall , I thought that when you add people to your list is basically useless because no body will be able to see your trust changed but the guy who added you on the list . But does that mean it's automatic ? let's say 5 Trusted users on DefaultTrust add me on the list , will I get added automatically too ?

[1] editing the trust list when you're not on default trust will only affect you and you only. but it is still useful if you trust someone's feedbacks and they're not on the default trust.

[2] yes

edit:
see below. didn't knew about the exclude part. thanks MZ

To be in default trust list, only 1 user in default trust depth 1 need to add you unless you are excluded by other user(s) in default trust depth 1. Number of people who included must be greater than number of people who exclude you.

From your conversation i got my answer why escrow.ms and one more user is not leaving trust for the trade done b/w us because it will add me into default trust which is not fine for now.

Leaving trust feedback on your profile and adding you to their trust list are different. Leaving feedback does not add you to their trust list.

My guess is that they are in defaukt trust list and hence, they don't want to change your trust score.

I guess you need to gain trust of Moderators and admins here in order to get into DefaultTrust list by doing some large amount of trades and proving yourself to be trustworthy at that level. Very less people are in DefaultTrust, that too because they are engaged in many things happening on this forum.

moderators have nothing to do with the default trust, dude. even theymos and badbear very rarely interfere with the default trust. there are more normal users than staffs on the default trust

No it wont. You can leave a user trust and you can add a user to your own trust list, they are two different things. If you add someone to your trust list and you are in DefaultTrust level 1 then that person will get added to defaulttrust level 2. Only theymos can add people to defaulttrust level 1. All feedback left by people in defaulttrust level 1 and 2 will show up as trusted feedback.

If we suppose that all the users have 2 as minimal trust depth, but there are some users with 1 as trust depth. For the question regarding the 'Only theymos can add people to defaulttrust level 1' do you know that DefaultTrust is an user https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=122551 managed (obviously) by theymos.

I'm a trustworthy guy, a man of my word but I'm not interested in ever being on the Default Trust list. If people get put on there then fair play to them, well done. I'd be wary of people if I see them trying to get on it though, asking lots of questions about how to get on there etc.

I don't see why anybody would want to be on there, as long as you have green trust with maybe 5+ positive & 0 negative then people will trust you & be willing to trade with you. I'm just not sure why people who aren't moderators care about getting on the Default Trust list.

being on the default trust depth 2 or higher puts more weight on your feedback. meaning that if you give someone with a 0: -0 / +0 trust a negative feedback their trust rating will go from 0: -0 / +0 to -2: -1 / +0. this is very useful to some people that want to keep scammers out of their job.

and that green trust you're talking about is only possible because normal users on the Default Trust leaves a positive feedback when a trade, loan, or some other things went successfully. most moderators don't even trade/loan so they don't have any reason to do that.

The only time I use my position on default trust is marking scammer accounts for everyone to see them red. So many fake accounts get made to PM scam people in sales threads. If you look at my sent feedback you will see how many fake Blazedout accounts I have made red.
