The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

...

I wrote an introductory article on Bitcoin for our local newspaper (town population: 9000).  I was paid nothing, but at least I got something "out there".

It seems like it is hard to write about BTC and get paid for it, at least more than the Signature Campaigns here at bitcointalk...

That is just my experience though.  One or more of the online "newspapers" may actually pay.

Someone let us know if they do!   Tongue  Smiley

I like your first article about bitcoin becoming something different than it is now due to services (like Xapo) and how people will choose to use it in their everyday lives.  And you are right, you really just have to do it for the enjoyment of it at first and then hone your skills to become "published".  I think you are already published rather you got paid for it or not.  Keep up the good work. Good luck to your writing career. I am a bit of a bitcoin journalist myself. I write news articles for the following site. Although I get paid in USD since I am hired through upwork.

I read both articles and from a readers perspective it's a bit too bulky. I would suggest you shorten your paragraphs with less detail.

We get bombarded by 1000's of articles each day from many different blog's / forums / websites and most people only browse through these articles quickly.

Write the article and then proof read it, as if you were a busy person browsing the internet. Most people have a short attention span, or are simply to busy to read bulky articles.

Have a strong summary at the end, where most of the content in the article was condensed into one paragraph for the lazy readers out there.

Hope my contructive criticism is helpfull.  Wink

Only because you, too, are fond of goats, I'll visit the first link and report back here my assessment in this post via an EDIT.

EDIT: Even though I tripped all over the first paragraph, I nonetheless gave the second paragraph a read. I'll leave it to others to assess all subsequent paragraphs of which I may or may not have read.

There are actually a lot of people looking for crypto writers, right now. NewsBTC just launched a franchise and there's like 2 dozen franchisees, already. Their level of compensation is variable. Hopefully you live in the right region. Tongue

It was a bit of a long read--reading your two articles--but I enjoyed it, though the long paragraphs are somewhat a bit off for me. I'm not a professional writer but I love reading articles, and one thing a reader likes to read on an article is its straightforwardness yet witty content. Yours is a bit long, especially the paragraphs, but maybe you can improve that. Smiley Good luck on your writing mate!
