Hi guys! I have 2 U2 units sitting around and don't know what to do with them... I wanted to put them to good use if possible, otherwise I guess I might as well sell them!
What would you do? Suggestions?

If you are talking about the U2 usb sticks, connect one to a solo mining pool using a raspberry pi and sell the other.

Raspberry Pi controller +1.
Smaller pool/p2pool if you can afford to run a full node.

Contribute to decentralization.

Why would I connect one U2 miner to a solo mining pool??? one U2 antminer only makes 2.2ghs.... it wouldn't pay for my energy expenses! I'd rather run a full Node!

What about mining some other Sha256 coins hold them to sell later at a profitable price? I can probably mine some coins in their PoW phase to stake them later Wink

Since I work mostly on computer and it tends to run at least 45h / week, I'd just plug them in and mine.
I think I would not feel the extra power they use...

I run a node 24/7/365 and I

mine them at solo .

I mine my single one at solo.ckpool

here is my 1 u2 stick  .  The odds are against you using a u2 stick  you could sell them on ebay and use the money to buy one of sidehacks sticks.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1086011.0  they are 6x better then a u2

I hope that wink means you are joking.  You have better odds gambling on the "BTC Lotto" by solo mining as many have suggested, than gambling on the odds of some sha256 altcoin going up to a profitable price.

to me it look like a waste of time and money(even if money is basically nothing in this case) you will not find a block ever, especially with the diff that now is rising due to the price

i would sell them and get rid of that dust..

Yep... I would never find a block... It would be a complete waste of time and money. The best option is most probably to sell them on ebay!

Mine on one of the few honest pools still around. And never, ever reach the minimum BTC payout and eventually leave the dust for the pool owner. Lol.

I would try and mine new altcoins with the sha256 algo maybe you could get lucky and make some money there, other wise just trow them at solo mining maybe you get lucky and hit a block.

I've thought in doing that. But I don't think it would be profitable. I could even try to mine newly launched PoW\PoS coins and then stake them, but I don't really believe it's worth the time, energy, and the effort!
