So slow compared to all other websites it seems like it's been running on Windows ME for weeks.

Please tell me what networking tools to run, ping, traceroute, whatever, and I'll paste the output.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

It seems like the DDoS defenses are getting bit touchy. I observed that the page fetching speed and probability of failure depend greatly on which source IPv4 range I use. So currently I'm posting through the VPN server located in UK.

Theymos, is there any chance you could get an IPv6 subnet assigned from your ISP? You could then run bitcointalk.org in the dual-stack mode. We could at least learn if those that constantly DDoS your site could get themselves an IPv6 botnet.

You could also distribute that IPv6 address privately through PM to some trusted subset of users instead of publishing in normally through the DNS AAAA.

Do you think it is worth trying?

It fluctuates. Sometimes its fine and other times it's laggy. I remember it used to be a lot worse the first few months I was here but the speed has improved thankfully though it does have its days. Maybe when the forum is slow it's getting ddosed or something.

Before the last big DDos the forum was running pretty well and the only times it didnt it was because it was down, totally. After that ddos i have experienced a lot of ''lag'' specially on my phone (i dont know if its a coincidence) sometimes i go to ''x'' section and it takes minutes to load but it doesnt give any error.

I would agree with hilariousandco. It really depends, last night at a certain time I couldn't open it at all and was receiving the timeout error.
Sometimes it is normal. However, it wasn't like this before. Quite unusual (prior to last hack/DDOS).

It's working fine today. However yesterday I kept getting an unknown web page error for 10-15 minutes but then it worked as normal. I don't want another DDoS attack.

Yes, sometimes it goes down for 1-15 seconds and comes back up (and go down again sometimes)..

Didn't have any trouble today. Smiley

generally forum works fine, but time to time, I had some nginx error or just page cannot be displayed.

anyway, it is once per day and time to time nothing whole week. obviously, forum is contantly under some ddos attacks and due to heavy load in prime time, it may happen. but nothing serious, at least for me..
