I've changed my avatar since I may well need someone at BFL to know what I look like before I arrive 
(and also anyone can be sure if a photo or video at BFL is me)... the blade is 24" (61cm) excluding the handle.
It's not shiny coz it has probably never been cleaned in over 80years - maybe longer.
It weights 1.2kg (2.6 lbs)
Hopefully the odd discolourations on it are only just rust and not blood from long long ago - though since it was used in the Boer Wars I'm not actually sure - there are small nicks in the edge of the blade that would probably represent colliding with bone ... no kidding
<more humor>How do really know that the new avatar isn't shopped? I think an unbiased individual should be taking the video of you at the BFL facility so we would know with a higher degree of certainty that the videos are not shopped as well. I suggest BFL fly in a trusted member from Romania to handle this task.
Also, will there be dolmas and baklava for the guest? And will Jody's chicken be hand so Kano could pet it? Like the proverbial shoe-on-the-head, no images of chicken petting proves the whole operation is a...
