Nice idea I like the idea of keeping lot's of nodes on the network.  Looks very professional as far as prototype shown.

Only thing I see is I think your paying at least twice the price of hardware that it is built on.  But I guess a company does need to make a profit.

Interesting but not mining hardware so still doesn't belong in this section.

Official thread:

Moving this to service discussion so you can have an unofficial discussion about it that isn't self moderated if you desire.

I wonder if we will need devices like those 6 months from now.

Considering the next Bitcoin Core client will allow block pruning, which means you only need to store 550 blocks instead of the entire chain.....

We still need the entire chain for history though. No matter what we always need full nodes.

Well I have such a device....got it 2 months ago as a toy and to help the network (what the heck)

plug'd it in...looked at the IP page

they say I can putty into it but don't know linux linaro so i suspect there is a screen  you can watch

also they say put your btc address in for micro payments donations but hell again don't know linaro

anyway its either a brick or its working

by the by no EMAIL support from the company I can find on their web page so again stuck

anyone here have one of these running want to walk me thru a simple putty terminal screen i can watch? and or stuff?

(probably should have waited for the bitnodes one that was plug and play i think)

as always bit off more then i can chew now playing catch up Smiley

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

I think this device is too expensive, there are many similar product which has similar specification with lower price (about $50-$100) without ubuntu OS & bitcoin core.
I prefer buy windows mini PC for same price, so not only for bitcoin nodes, but also various things too Smiley

You need very big SD card which is expensive or external harddisk to keep blockchain file, so it can run full node well.
Would be better if you use it for other purpose Smiley

don't disagree ...I have one ..but for the extra 80 bucks vs a raspberry pi kit i was gonna use instead (if i used the same 250gh hd) well I'm having enough problems figuring out how to make this unit get on bitnodes network to be tracked etc (no support on the bitseeds page for this kinda thing ..port 8333 and linaro linux etc etc)

but yeah.....lazy mans way indeed....
