I hadn't bought bit coins for anything besides utility since I bought at 220 just before the last run up but im back into stockpiling bit coins now.

Again previous performance does not equal to future outcast ... also the "ride up" from 200 - 1100 dollars was based purely on market manipulation and market entry euphoria....  (for those that want simpler terms: when you combine willybot and market making algorithm plus a crap load of less knowledgeable people that want to buy into something that they think will profit = price instability up)

If you magnify dots on your chart you will se that they are connected using convex curve (outward). In our current situation dots are connected using concave curve (inward).

If you are short better close position ASAP. Why? Because when movement gets momentum, breakup will be brutal.

Better to close short position with small lose and go long, because otherwise shorts will be margin called. It is a race who will be first.

Can't you do this on BitcoinWisdom? Settings->Indicator Parameters. I use 20/50/200 setup for EMA/MA.

I actually think Monero is a perfect name.
It's is suitable for a reserve currency name.
It is the exact translation for 'coin' in esparanto.
It is for me one of the few reasons to hold a very small speculative gamble amount of those tokens.
But in the end I also think they will be rendered worthless. I'm a holder without belief.

That could probably happen after this next rise where people with low expectations get their meager gains and bail or plan to rebuy later for additional gains in bitcoin. Just a thought. Or, there won't be a pull back for a while if at all.

I started May 2011, and have seen some rise in price to the point where I just think 'Meh' to a lot of the news.  I've never bought the dips or sold the peaks, and have been pretty dumb actually (which is why I hold rather than trade).

I don't want to be biased in a way that only suits my own beliefs, but I do like this thread and the positive energy in it, so will continue to watch with interest.  Long term I'm bullish as can be, but won't be put off by a near term slump.  My bitcoins are made of Unobtanium for the next couple of years until the market is solid.

• On weekly chart PSAR will start turning parabollic tomorrow. In bitcoin world this was allways sign for a new bubble.

• This week we will also see 100d MA crossing over 200d MA and it will stay below 50d MA. It is a perfect storm setup.

There is no reason to flat out lie to justify an excuse why price action isnt more bullish. There are just not a lot of buyers in these prices. The only thing keeping us afloat - the same thing that has created the rise from 216 - is NO sellers.

But we aren't "mooning" or going parabolic without BUYERS. Longs are near ATHs - where is the fresh fiat to fuel us to the moon?

I'm not saying we crash from here, BUT it takes MONEY $$$ - Cash Dollars/EUROS/etc. for price to rise and it takes A LOT of money for it to go to ATHS. Probably $50 million+ in fresh fiat to exchanges to get the price there (at least).

It looks like recursive cups & handles heading toward rising trend line sometime in the future. Every cup bottom is higher than one before. Today's trendline price is 276 USD and bitcoin is above it. So we are on right side of primary handle.

And it is good that shorts are growing. Bitcoin will need them for pushing price above barriers.

We are in bull market,  golden cross has occured.

2011 AND late  2013 were both super bubbles. Normal bubbles were like the Cypress rally to $260 with a crash back to ~$80 and then relatively quick recovery.  I expect the next bubble to be a normal bubble. The one after that, however....

You should also notice that the rsi is strongly in the oversold area in the 1d chart.
It also seems that the big market moves happen mostly on the weekends. Maybe to keep the ETFs out of the profitable moves. Or someone is filling his bag, getting ready for insider action.

Was at my cousin's wedding tonight and I talked to a lot of people about bitcoin as in a follow up from the last time I saw many of these people. The cousin is going to Stanford for his surgeon training, his bro works for Apple out in Cali and has done some reading up on the coin in recent times, plus some other lawyers and market traders out of the Chicago market that heard my spiel that hadn't gotten the proper intro to the coin yet tho many of them are into the likes of Rand Paul so they definitely won't forget my mini lectures during happy hour and the food line. That was my activism for the evening which is built upon some past convos as well as letting some newer faces in on it as a seed planting episode that may or may not pay off. And this all happened before the heavy drinking started so perhaps they'll marinate on it in due time as they hear about it again. Word of mouth is strong for when people inevitably hear about it again as they won't get the quick, in depth take on it in subsequent sightings of the coin.

Also, when the coin makes news out of itself in the coming bull market, these kind of people talk to others in their lines of work and the word spreads at that level. Kind of an organic/fomo hybrid under the right circumstances if ya know what I mean.

I agree and this is exactly why I want to invest now. Granted yes it would of been nice to grab them up when they were at a low but that time has passed and I remain a strong supporter of bitcoin so buying at the current rates to me is an investment in something that I feel will return 10x over in the future if all things go right. If it fails oh well but I cannot afford to regret NOT trying.

I agree and this is exactly why I want to invest now. We all had our opportunity. Bitcoin was very long time at $220 - $230 range. But I don't blame anybody that hasn't entered at this range. Block size debate has made Bitcoin very shaky and people have even expected that we would go down to $160 - $180 range.

That being said I think that considering the latest news, Bitcoin has proven that it has bright future. Not that the block size increase debate has been forgotten. I think that this will be solved as well very soon. Of course, this will be reflected with a huge increase in price as well in my opinion.

and here we are.  Not even a year later, we are double the price of $300 and after a fairly large correction.  I would venture to say that $300s are long gone absent a flash-crash.  And even flash-crashes to the $300s are numbered if not gone forever
