They are not a scam.   How long have you been trying to get a reply?   If you paid with a credit card, you are protected anyway.

They may just be too busy digging up dirt on BFL at the minute.

I certainly hope not.  I was planning on ordering one of their units at the beginning of next month.

Many of those ASIC involved companies are in a hurry for their products filling missing things and designs... that is my opinion.
Before they get paid answers were they more agile with customer support ?

For my curiosity, you ordered FPGA miners (because I thought to order some too...) ?

Will you share with us Your impression?

Excuse me,

Please do your homework before posting possibly damaging mis-information threads like this.

As a matter of fact we have one of the best track records in this business for customer service and support.

We are one of the only if not THE only FPGA/ASIC mining unit company that is reachable by telephone, and we also have a live 24 hour support channel on the FreeNode IRC network - #BTCFPGA

I actually pay employees to sit there and to provide technical support to customers FOR FREE.

We have been selling (and shipping) High Efficiency Bitcoin mining devices since May of 2012 and hundreds of satisfied customers who love their BTCFPGA mining products.

I apologize if you feel I did not respond in a timely manner, if you would like to get a refund please let me know and I will process it immediately.

Otherwise please change the title of this incorrect and misleading forum thread.

Thank you

To vouch I have only had good experiences with Tom and btfpga/bASIC.

Also, its interesting to see that all the posted here are members with ~ 10 posts.. take what you will of that.

So far I've only seen good things said about the bASIC team on these boards.....seem legit (though busy) to me.

Sorry, I'm all sold out of x6500's.

You might want to hire someone in PR or Marketing.  You should be reaching out to customers that allege problems instead of battling them on forums.  Makes you look unprofessional at first glance.  You wouldn't want newbies getting that impression, right?

i have already talked to this customer days ago and handled his issue to his satisfaction.

I was very surprised to find this thread exists, and I am certainly not battling him or trying to put him down in any way, if that is the tone you picked up than I apologize.

I just feel that this thread title is misleading and should be changed, it is quite likely he forgot all about the thread after I handled his issue, which btw was just a question about his order.

thanks

Can I ask a noob question quickly. How much electricity would a new ASIC device of ~50-60 GH/s use in terms of kwh per 24 hours? Thanks very much.

Just wondering. I were interested in pre-ordering a bASIC unit and just went online and saw the account for this is suspended.

Link: http://www.btcfpga.com/cgi-sys/suspendedpage.cgi

Goes to that page everytime through every link.

These ASIC's seem more and more like a shady deal to me.

Everything is up for pre-order and no questions are answered by either btcfpga nor butterfly labs.

The site is back up. The account was automatically disabled because no one noticed (BTCFPGA and their provider) that the credit card payment for the hosting failed.
