Virtually nobody functions optimally when they use drugs perpetually, especially many different kinds, and this is especially true when you initially take those drugs away from them.  People respond similarly in many ways to sexual engagement.

Sex is not a drug, it's completely natural and both mentally and physically healthy for you (excluding STIs obviously). In fact, sex preserves youthful vitality, where as most drugs age you.

This comparison is not at all apt. http://www.webmd.com/sex-relationships/guide/sex-and-health

That's making a straw man of the point.  I didn't say sex is a drug, nor did I say it's necessarily unhealthy.

Who wants to take bets that these hackers have ties to either conservative or feminist groups?

Why not some radical LGBT group, which is opposed to heterosexual relationships? That said, the news reports indicates that the hack was done by someone who was not happy about the fee being charged by Ashley Madison, to delete the profiles (they charge $20 for the same). So in all probability, the hack was done by a disgruntled ex-user.

Do you think people with 50 marriages in a lifetime are happier than those with 1?
I think people with zero marriages in a lifetime are happier than those with 1. The stories of miserable marriage and divorce are everywhere in modern culture, pay attention.

How do you explain the scientific evidence that people are happiest when they have exactly 1 (no more, no less) sexual partners per year?  I'm not saying it can't be explained away, but it's there.

People with one sexual partner are accepted by society. If you have multiple sexual partners, you have to hide it from the world, especially in political or other prestigious careers.

The same was true about homosexuals 25 years ago.

I'm not sure what society you refer to.  Many who haven't had the chance to get out simply pretend they have more adventurous sex lives.  I've not known people who go the other way and pretend they don't.  Married couples better have some stories about threesomes or swapping or whatever, especially in political or other prestigious careers.

Nowadays close to half of all the marriages end up in divorce. This proportion will rise further in the coming decades, as the radical feminism becomes stronger. More and more anti-male laws and regulations are being created, and marriage has become another business opportunity for gold diggers to squeeze out money from the wealthy middle-aged males.

What do you think would happen to a person who has with many partners frequently?

People respond to sex much like they do drugs.  Some people do okay living life completely sober, and others do just fine with moderate, controlled drug use.  Virtually nobody functions optimally when they use drugs perpetually

Oh, they must not exist than. After all, your single anecdote suggests they don't exist!

Wow. A politically-correct non-religious radical feminist supporter. Must be an American. I half expected to end with "Mister Man."

This is a joke, right?

Your logical fallacy is straw man, and it's prompted by your intellectually dishonest habit of perpetual selective reading, a form of confirmation bias.

Of course you're going to think that you've proven everyone false if you make up their arguments for them Roll Eyes

Hackers threaten to leak Ashley Madison's 37 million clients

37 Million Cheating Spouses.

Marriage is a joke these days to the general public. Why do they even bother getting married?

"(Reuters) - Hackers claim to have personal details of more than 37 million cheating spouses on dating website Ashley Madison and have threatened to release nude photos and sexual fantasies of the site's clients unless it is shut down, blog KrebsOnSecurity reported.

Ashley Madison's Canadian parent, Avid Life Media, confirmed the breach on its systems and said it had since secured its site and was working with law enforcement agencies to try to trace those behind the attack.

The hackers, who call themselves The Impact Team, leaked snippets of the compromised data online and warned they would release customers' real names, profiles, nude photos, credit card details and "secret sexual fantasies" unless their demands were met, Krebs said.

Avid Life did not disclose what information was stolen."

"Ashley Madison, which uses the slogan "Life is short. Have an affair", has been planning to raise up to $200 million through an initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange."

37M is a huge number, I'm shocked it's that high. I wonder how many of those users are people who created an account once and never actually used it as opposed to people who use it regularly.

Probably 36 million of them will be male (and 90% of them will be unmarried guys, who are not being able to get laid), and the remaining 1 million will be female. Females don't need the help of internet to get in to an extra-marital affair, while most of the men need the same. Men and women, who are attractive and not impotent, doesn't need Ashley Madison.  Grin

Oh, that response will surely give you the credibility and acknowledgement you're looking for from your peers.  Who are you talking to?

I am 100% against cheating on someone, why not end one relationship before moving onto another ?
There is no justification for cheating on another person. It is destructive and hurtful

"The hacker or hackers who infiltrated Canadian-based cheating site Ashley Madison have dumped several gigabytes of user information on the Internet.

Wired reported that the hackers, who go by the name The Impact Team, posted almost 10 gigabytes of user data on the dark web Tuesday.

UPDATE: experts speaking to The Huffington Post say the data dump appears to be authentic. "It's entirely reasonable to assume that this data is legitimate unless it can be proven to the contrary," security specialist Troy Hunt told The Huffington Post.

UPDATE 2: Avid Life Media, the company behind Ashley Madison, confirms to Reuters that some data has been leaked online by hackers. The company also repeated its claim that it never stored credit card data online.

The files reportedly include information for 32 million users, including login information, addresses, credit cards and phone numbers. Ashley Madison advertises itself as "the most famous name in infidelity and married dating" on its website. It has 36 million members in 46 countries, Business Insider reports.
Avid Life Media (ALM), the parent company of Ashley Madison and Established Men, another site the hackers also demanded be shut down, released a statement slamming reports of the hack to The Huffington Post Canada on Tuesday......."

Heard that a few divorce cases have been already filed after the leaked data was dumped all over the darknet. But there is a chance that a few people will be wrongly identified as Ashley Madison users. Ashley Madison users had no requirement of verifying their emails. So there is a chance that some of the users might have given other's email IDs.

"The leaked AshleyMadison data could also be useful for extorting U.S. military personnel and potentially stealing U.S. government secrets, experts fear. Some 15,000 email addresses ending in dot-mil (the top-level domain for the U.S. military) were included in the leaked AshleyMadison database, and this has top military officials just a tad concerned."

Sheesh.
