How did you first hear about bitcoin?

I first hear about bitcoin in facebook. I saw someone posted a picture showing the current price of btc equivalent to our fiat on that time. And I was amazed, asked my self in mind if that's really true? So I started make a search about it until a user here in the forum invite me to join.

actually i hear about bitcoin in 2014 but i don't even thinking more about this. i don't know that bitcoin is one of good investment that people can use to make money. because in 2014, i've been too busy with my real life and i am online not too long with my pc so i don't read many info about the technology.

Lol, yeah. I used to be always browsing this forum as a guest and never really paid any particular attention to actually signing up and becoming a part of it. I wish I can turn back time and be one of these early investors I first heard about bitcoin around 2012.

At 2015 I didn't buy bitcoins at the cheap price of $200ish per coin. Another mistake made.

if you do not know his user name then how can know he is hero member know. may be he remain inactive for a long time or may be he left the form or using bitcoin, cant say anything about him blindly.

I remember that a friend was talking about some new currency that is in market and seems to be good for transferring money around the world quickly. I was like thats good what and how does it work. Then after some research and news got to know more about it few months back.

The first time I said to Bitcoin since a friend out there in my team he earned money from this virtual money, it's similar but more convenient paypal that all transactions are not cost , without intermediaries, and now I'm starting to engage with Bitcoin, Bitcoin is wonderful !!!

This is my fifth year using bitcoin now. I heard about it at around 2011 however didn't act on it at all, lots of tutorials at that time about how you can mine coins on your laptop and potentially get a reward for a block. I thought that it was just another scam.

Only got into it at around 2013 when it actually took off to the moon. Some things you just have to regret forever.

I would probably regret my decision forever as you said if i were aware of this at that time when we could mine bitcoins with our laptops without any hardware and other equipment, and did not take it serious and after a few years that touches the sky.

I heard about Bitcoin once it hit $1,200 or whatever it had reached on the news, and that's about the same time I decided to get interested in it and I started to do some things and make some money, next thing you know I'm on here and it's been 3 years. Clos to 4 now.

I heard bitcoin first when my friend tell me about his office computer that hacked by some virus, and the virus ask him to send 5 bitcoin to get his file on computer back.
Since I heard that story, I spend lot if time to read and learn about bitcoin. And I find a new hobby in the internet to spend time with.

People who are early adopters must be weird in the eyes of the money because they don's see the potential of bitcoin, and now that bitcoin is very successful they have adopted and hoping they can make it profitable to them as well.

Good thing some sees it for investment but I know it because of gambling.
