I had some problems with my "wallet" computer yesterday. It toally froze and made all four wallets running on it corrupt.
Today i managed to repair three of them by backing them up, deleting the wallets from the computer and started fresh wallets up that i made sync before putting the wallet.dat back in there. It was a sucess with all wallets except the Axiom one.

Making the Axiom wallet sync from a fresh wallet takes like 6-7 hours for me. I have all known nodes added in my config. Why does it take that long time to sync ?

I will give it one more try in a couple of hours when a fresh allet is again synced.
Any ideas what to do if i dont get it to work ?

I cant even fire the wallet up when i have replaced the dat file, it just hangs and stop working.
I have older backups laying but i dont want to loose several days of staking if possible.

I never had any wallet issues before this so i feel a bit lost messing with his crap.

Your transactions are stored on the block chain, not in the wallet.dat. Your wallet.dat stores your private keys. As long as the backup is not too old, you should be able to get all of your coins from an old backup. If you solo mined over 100 blocks since your last back up or did over 100 send transactions that needed change, than the old backup may not be good.
Unfortunately, since we have no bootstrap, you will have to wait for the entire blockchain to be downloaded to you computer.

Someone clone this baby, make a few adjustments, and call it Euclid. Nicehash needs to make a profit from their optimized cpu miner.  Cheesy

You can always run the qt by creating a bat file in the same folder as the qt with the following code:

axiom-qt.exe -salvagewallet

Make sure you backup the wallet.dat before attempting this, though.

axiom.exe -rescan

if you use a shortcut to start Axiom in windows, r-click the shortcut, hit properties, make the target window text read as the above

The salvage wallet operation makes a new recovered wallet, but before it makes changes, you should do your own backup first - just in case it goes wrong.

Ok. I have backups already.
I just created a batch file in Axiom folder and put: axiom-qt.exe -salvagewallet in it.
When i fire the wallet up i get the following:
"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

When i press ok I get a message that axiom-qt.exe have stopped working.

This wallet seem pretty fked up :/

Here's what u do
Go to start in windows
Type in %appdata%
Look for roaming/Axiom
Click it
Takes u to folder page.  Click on Axiom file
Up comes all files for Axiom.qt, delete all files except your wallet.dat file
Start wallet again

Notes:  make sure wallet is closed when u start this process, also make sure u have stored your wallet.dat file somewhere.  Backing up your wallet should be fine.

Hope this helps

Why no forks?

Probably because all of the gpu miners and most of the optimized cpu miners are private. (Nichash one is nice, but you can only point to nashhash.) Why release a coin that others will have a distinct advantage in mining? A dev will need to also be able to program and release their own gpu and cpu miners on launch of their new coin to be a success.

You can use nicehash miner to mine wherever you want...
Using a bat file to launch the miner and not the included launcher.

I posted back in July.  People thought I was fudding the coin.  Turns out I was right again.  Scam from the beginning.  new algo + CPU only = scam

Please re tweet so we can exchange more than PM only!

https://twitter.com/AxiomCrypto/status/625287734609862656

From your tweet:

$AXIOM has over 600 solo miners

Not hardly.  Too funny.

Another cpu only/private miner coin.
