As the title says, surely there should be more porn sites accepting bitcoins... porn is the biggest industry in the world anyway!

I'd totally get behind pitching this to my friends working in porn. The porn industry (or for that matter anything with 'adult' content) has obnoxiously high credit card fees and chargeback rates. Having very low fees and no chargebacks is to its benefit.
Potential problems: trying to avoid selling such content to minors in order to comply with legal requirements could be problematic, unless one went around demanding ID from all customers. Anyone know of a non-credit-card based method of verifying customer ages?
I could probably be persuaded to produce a small amount of kinky porn sold for BTC if I can avoid selling to minors.

Actually - "minors" are paying for porn successfully wright now, with existing methods. That problem is not solved. You should determine what you want more clearly. Do you wand to stop minors from easy access to porn, or you just dont want have any legal related problems with this ? That problems require different approaches and have different prices. And, "how to not allow access to porn, for minors" (for real), is not solved anyhow, till now.

all that would be required is a disclaimer at the enterance for the site saying you have to be of legal age in your state or country. Take into account of certain laws, i.e. UK imposed a new law last year banning extreme porn. And also include in the disclaimer that it is down to the internet line owner to give permission to minors to use their line, at the end of the day it rests on their shoulders as you have to be 18 to take out an internet subscription.... either way, its all good to go.
People say who still pays for porn, well they should know that porn is the number 1 industry in the world, and that theres always a horny customer ready to splash their cash, especially when they get a one on one service, i.e. webcam girls. that would be an ideal market for bitporn!

I presume those kind of services would still offer regular paying systems, such as cc and PayPal. Just have them submit a cc to register a pay account, then let them choose to pay with BTC.

Really? You would send a stranger a photo of yourself nude for a $10 value? Wow, you are a cheap date!

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

I don't want legal trouble. It looks like the 'standard' is to have a portal that requires confirmation from user stating he/she is over 18 to see previews, and then a credit card to actually purchase.

To avoid legal problems, you can use standard options, and then propose to use BTC, along with other options. That was mentioned above. So, the main problem is - authentication of user. He will lost his anonymity in process. No test can be used to prove age. As alternative, only some weird stuff comes to mind. Like - photo of some body part with proof (like btc address written on paper or on that body part). But that is really mad. And maybe not so effective, until some suit will prove that this is enough.

wherever porn goes, that technology succeeds. Without porn we wouldn't be at where we are now with photos, video, the internet, tv, movies, etc etc... Bitcoin NEEDS porn to be legitimate.

Agreed. Bitcoin needs porn. It certainly helped blu-ray win out over the technologically superior HD-DVD.

I have some friends who would add Bitcoin as an option to their Adult sites tomorrow- if there was a script/mod to deal with verifying the transactions and writing the password files. Once there is a good Bitcoin driven members section management script this will take off.
