Cricket Namibia is being regarded as one of the best national cricket bodies among the associate nations. But that is not being reflected in the performance of the team. During the recent years, they have slid down from being one of the strongest associates to a medium-level team. All this is happening when they are getting more and more opportunities to play against the full members. Last year, they defeated South Africa in a T20I match. And this year, they will be taking part in a tri-series involving South Africa and Zimbabwe. In 2027, the inaugural edition of the Africa T20 Cup will be played, and Namibia will be one of the participants.

Following the example set by the ACC on Asia Cup, the African Cricket Association (ACA) has decided to start a 6-team T20 Africa Cup from 2027 onwards. This August, the three African teams with ODI status will be playing a tri-series at the Victoria Falls cricket stadium as a preparatory tournament. Apart from these three teams, the tournament next year will feature three other associate nations from the African region. Strong associate teams like Tanzania and Uganda may qualify for the series. A few weeks ago, the ECB had turned down a similar proposal for a T20 Euro Cup.

Is it same africa cup, which is backed by south Africa? Heard that CSA was doing something similar with some quadrilateral series (if not wrong ) with zimbabwe, Nambia and possibly kenya.

This August CSA and ZC are organizing a tri-series which also involves Namibia. That tournament will act as a preparation for next year's 6-team T20 Africa Cup. Kenya is nowhere in the picture. Even if you exclude Namibia, Kenya is far behind other stronger associate teams such as Uganda and Tanzania. And they are still dependent upon some of the legacy players from their golden era, such as Nehemiah Odhiambo and Elijah Otieno. Very few young players are coming up through the ranks. On the other hand, both Uganda and Tanzania have made massive improvements recently. 

On the other hand, we have ECB which keep giving excuses after excuses of schedule and CSA doing it bits for cricket despite having less resources than ECB.

In Karachi and Lahore ground, there are totally different pitches and combinations. In Karachi, spinners can easily tave advantage and ball never directly comes to the bat, it wait a bit for a second, and also in yesterday's game the bowlers were also bowling with the pitch condition. Their batsmen did not know how to take advantage of the 50 overs, while they were other could have successfully set the target together with their batsmen. Their poor batting made them weak. If they had played well their strength could have been much higher in this last match. Namibia batsmen scored only 198 runs, which was not much. If their batsmen were busy trying to score 250, their bowlers could have brought some hardship to their success. Only 3 wickets could be controlled in their bowling and their bowlers kept trying for 38 overs, but in the end the good effort with which the Scotland batsmen played and they will succeed strongly in this match. More than that, Scotland has also achieved success in the T20 match. We all know that Namibia is not a strong cricket team but recently they have performed well against their respective teams and also against weaker teams and have won some matches. But their situation gets worse when they are facing a team that is a little stronger than them. For example, in the ODI format, the Namibian team had a very poor batting performance against Scotland where the Scotland team won very easily.
I think the Namibian cricket team is still far behind. They still have a lot to learn. Without lots of practice, their batting performance will not improve and they will not be able to stand up against strong teams.

In the T20I game between Scotland and Namibia, Scotland defeated Namibia by 7 wicket. Namibia opens inning first with Van Vuuren and Jan Frylinkand and both the openers don't gives a strong start to the team and Vuuren  scores just 12 runs and also Frylink lost his wicket early on 8 run and in middle order Louran Steenkamp played a very efficient and aggressive knock of 27 runs and Gerhard Erusmus played a well knock of 53 runs but  the other batters don't put efforts effectively and at the end of the innings Namibia set a good target of 160 runs. Everyone will agree with you because that is how it is.The Namibian team did not try to improve itself.Most of the time they kept losing also to  smaller teams.It is very rare to see a Namibian team winning and making history.Most of Namibia matches have been against a strong team like Scott Land.In these matches Namibia has faced consecutive defeats and I think they are not ashamed of their defeat.The Namibian coach and captain need to make changes to their team because the batsmen and bowlers are not able to establish a strong partnership. Apart from them another great batsman and bowler should be brought forward so that the Namibian team can also hit someone. Absolutely right.If they do not correct their mistakes they will continue to lose badly like this.

Bangladesh fast bowler Rubel Hossain has retired from international cricket. He last played in an international T20I against New Zealand in April 2021. Rubel Hossain has helped the country win many matches with his excellent performances which will be remembered. He played 159 international matches, he was excellent in the ODI format.

Bangladesh fast bowler Rubel Hossain has retired from international cricket. He last played in an international T20I against New Zealand in April 2021. Rubel Hossain has helped the country win many matches with his excellent performances which will be remembered. He played 159 international matches, he was excellent in the ODI format.

However, unfortunately he could not retire from international cricket with dignity. He announced his retirement on his Facebook page.

He could have played for a few years with his power and health, this player has shown a lot of struggling for his team. Such players are needed for BAN and their powerful and performing are necessary to improve. In this game, BAN played with a lot of tight work and a nice thought out strategy and this player has fulfilled his duty and after these 4 years he has decided to leave the development of his team and now he will raise his voice for support. ESPN Cricinfo has also made this known on its official website and from this everyone knows that now he will not struggling for his team. There is no such big problem in this, even though he is a player of your country, then this much should be done because everyone should feel sorry for the player of his country who develops them.

Rubel Hossain is a player who played brilliant for the country and has golden period in 2019 ,20 and he was at peak and after that he lose his pace and line and he was out from the team. Top class leagues are not buying him and he thought he should be retire from International cricket and he don't want to play for the team at that moment. He played 100 plus ODI matches but he was a part of Bangladesh team which is not high quality team and that was a reason he got no respect from the country and no one remember he served for the country. He has a 12 years career and he got respect by playing cricket for the country and his country won matches for his effort but now hid team has no player like him and they have no quality team.

From what I understand, Rubel Hossain's career with the Bangladesh national team was quite important, especially in the ODI format. He had memorable moments and helped the team to several victories over the years. Even though his last international match was against New Zealand in 2021 and the retirement announcement was only made on Facebook, that doesn't erase what he did on the field.

Often players don't get the ideal farewell or a great farewell match, but what really remains is the contribution they made during their career. And in that sense, Rubel certainly left his mark on Bangladeshi cricket.

In past odi series,  last game was played between Namibia team and Scotland team. In this game too, Namibia showed disappointed gameplay and lost this odi game. In this T20 series,  Namibia team again played poor and in this game, Namibia team won toss and they elected bat first and bowling line to Scotland team. Namibia team made 15p runs target in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Few of their batsmen Gerhard and Louren batted well and made good runs compare to other batsman who made fewer runs like 3, 5 ,6 etc. Scotland team chased down all target and won 1 st t20 game by 7 wickets and 7 balls remaining. 2 nd T20 game of Scotland tour of Namibia series will play and lets how Namibia team will perform in this game. Because it makes about 80 percent of all cricket money, BCCI has become biggest target of attacks where they felt that in old days, West ruled the sport. Although Kimber is great in explaining the game with facts, his political views mostly upset fans who support views of stars such as Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri, who believe success of India is just jealousy from Western critics. I think BCCI hating is usually shouted by people who will fail to accept fact that today India is place where every small cricket nation is kept going by Indian money. Although Kimber does excellent skillful job it is extremely difficult to keep one mouth shut because sport is split between new power in India and long set powers in West.

Even then this match is going to held on the Bangladesh but I think that the New Zealand thing will gonna be going this match as their batting and bowling line up on odi format is much better from the Bangladesh team

And after 50over New Zealand took 247 run with losing wickets even though this score is not a high score so yes Bangladeshi bowlers are did good at their bowling today. But I had very doubt on their batting lineup, if Bangladesh lose this match I think that will gonna be their batters fault.

In this match Namibia team could not perform well. In a long format you have opportunity to check your performance because you can judge it where are you satisfied for hitting or slow playing. But they could not use thi opportunity. This is simple thing if you lost first 3 or 4 wickets then you should take time and going for build a partnership. Because when you build a partnership in middle speed then your totals runs make enough then you can fight better than a low total runs. Anyways they scored 159 runs in 50 overs and played too slow inning. On the other hand Scotland team showed brilliant performance. They gave less runs and got important wickets early. Since it was low total for chasing so they could chased it easily and they done this. Meanwhile they chased this lowest total in 18.5 overs with the loss of 3 wickets and finished the match with great performance.
