Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Jeff Garzik, a board member, has stated the "long-arm of government" should be able to reach Bitcoin.

Gavin visited the CIA earlier on and he wrote no report from that visit (on CIA's request).

Is it so that the bitcoinfoundation wants your real name if you want to become a member:

Quote
To promote transparency and enforce fair voting procedures, we require a real name and address for Individual members. We will eventually include address and name verification procedures. Please note that member dues paid to records that do not include a real name and mailable address will not be refunded. Thank you!

Fact 1.: Once you've entered your personal information with their site, you don't know who will have access to your personal information, and there's no privacy statement on their page.

Fact 2.: If their server ever get's compromized, your private data may be released in the wild, painting you as a bitcoin user for the entire Internet to see. Some people may be fine with this, others not - and then the solution may be not to sign up..
