Why do people still play dice?

I only play dice for fun and not for profit. I just invest a small amount or sometimes use the faucet (primedice) to gamble.

EV stands for expected value, which will always be negative as long as the house edge is positive.
You could get a profit if you are lucky, and vice versa, but that is not your EV.

You are right that gamblers will lose in the long term in dice, but the same applies to nearly all games (unless you are a top expect in poker or sports bet). At least dice has a relatively lower house edge and is fast and simple to play.

Obviously dice will never be ev+ that makes no sense, it's impossible otherwise casinos would just lose money, see this is the problem i have, that some people still don't know how casinos work, even these days which is incredible.

Everyone lose in the long term all the time - That is a reason why I played it for fun and just putting small investment to play. I learned from my mistake in the past thinking dice game and any other gambling game can give me some profits in the future. Play for fun , if win then much better , if lose , no worries.

yeah exactly , some people here think that +EV means that you are winning
of course it's impossible in dice , so even if the player wins 1000% of his bankroll that won't change the fact that he was playing a -EV game

This statement is totally wrong, in fact some dices are +EV . For example jackpot in DaDice , it has been proven that if you are only hunting for the jackpot then this is totally +EV for you. Raffles ticket in Betterbets ( if you know how to get ir properly  ). In fact if you know how to play it "smartly" then you can turn the edge over to you which of course involving giveaway / contest winning and investing in the bankroll ( this isnt part of "playing dice" but still a way to get +EV for you )

i think many players are addicted not only to dice but also other gambling games as they think they could make a "profit" out of them which is not possible as long as there is a house edge

it might be because of gambling addictions (part of it at least) which makes people go back and gamble more. also there are always new people who start gambling on dice sites and have the same mentality that we had before and think they can win, eventually they realise and leave.

Dice games have existed for maybe 5000 years. Entertainment can be more complicated today, but dice is a quick game with simple rules and immediate results. And yes many people still find that fun. Especially when combined with the thrill of gambling. Sometimes the more complicated the game the less fun from gambling on it I get.

Because they are addicted to gambling.

 They think they can beat the whole system and get rich and the truth is if they bring enough money (as much as dice site have) and if the games wouldnt have max bet limit,, they could have cleared the casino.

But like most of you know, dice sites have max bet value (mostly 10-20btc) and what ever you do you ll lose in the long run because of  the "house edge".

So, no point in playing really.
