I see people play for numerous reasons:

1.  People like to gamble, it is highly addicting and whether they admit it or not, they are actually addicted to playing dice.
2.  Entertainment, people also play just to have fun, maybe some extra spare coins and it is possible to win, so purely entertainment.
3.  People think they have a system, obviously they are wrong and there is no system that is going to beat the dice site, but they will gladly lose all their coins thinking they have some system, and then blame the dice site saying it is rigged.

2. it's fast as hell to win or lose
3. lots of people think they have created a winning strategy
4. they dislike other games..
5. gives them a adrenaline rush
