If you still have the old wallet with the bronze logo, then you just need to update the wallet and that will fix your problem, if you look a few pages back in this thread the new wallet and conf files are still online, if they are not, I will reupload it for you if you need.

That conf did not solve the problem (at least in my case)

Check your height and compare with coingather.  I just checked mine and it's a few blocks off but the difficulty matches.  I'm probably on the same chain as coingather.  If your chain is off completely, re-sync.

I also have a bunch of other coind's attached ... Dev needs to address this annoyance.

There is no Dev, that is the problem. You need to read back a few pages, and if your wallet is not synced correctly i suggest, trying the -rescan, option when starting your wallet, because mine is working just fine, can transfer both to and from coingather, and quickly at that. I am solo mining as well, with this wallet.

BRNSTYLE... to solo mine you have to set your .conf file up with one of your wallet addresses as the rpcuser name, then open the wallet with the -server.bat file, just do it the same way you do -rescan.bat, make a file in notepad with the following: "newyorkc-qt.exe -server" save that as a .bat file, be sure it is in the same folder as your wallet qtfile, use this to start your wallet, keep in mind you have to be fully synced to solo mine, so dont start your miner, until it is synced, or it will not work.

Wow, I'm really glad to see NYC is still alive. I am one of the original miners for NewYorkCoin (scryptenthusiast and one other handle). I used my limited computer skills to revive NYC when original (and only true developer NewYorkCoin has ever had) jumped ship at/before launch and was never reachable. Dead links on website, etc. I started NewYorkCo.in website, paid to get block explorer working (Spaincoin Dev, Alonso??), paid to get working wallets, github, reddit, etc. NYC was trading on bleutrade and another lower end alt-coin exchange on a daily basis. We even got 3rd-4th highest votes at Coinpayments for new coin to add but did not get accepted because of our low trading/exchange volume. 
Then it just kind of fizzled out. I have a family and had other obligations.

That's the story of NewYorkCoin - down but not out!

If we can gather enough people that have the time needed to get a community started (off bitcointalk) and active exchanges going for NewYorkCoin again - I will definitely help a community effort.
