I built NINJAd on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, which by the way involved creating the obj directory you left out of the github repo.

It rejects everyone's suggested blocks for having coinbase greater than 1.00000000 and bans them for misbehaving for offering such blocks.

Is the github code - the default branch one gets by cloning frm the main repo URL - maybe buggy, forgetting to account for the fact blocks could have transaction fees in them or something like that?

Or is everyone else simply cheating, giving themselves more than one coin for a block and all agreeing that is okay to do because all are cheating?

Well it seems this thing was so obviously a scam, worm, trojan, or whatnot that no one else even bothered to build and run the damn thing. Curious, eh?

I was actually interested in how deep it went, its one thing to figure it is obviously something bad, quite another to actually see just how bad it really is.

Are you running it where there are no other wallets it can upload somewhere, or where all other wallets are encrypted so you don't care if it sends them somewhere or what?

Or if not, have you noticed anything going missing from any other wallets yet?

Do you have wireshark or something running on your LAN so as to be able to notice if an invisible root-kit has been put in place?

(Or, rather, to notice when/if it eventually calls home?)

I am still curious whether it is "just" an instamine or a direct attack on your machine...

Once you get a proof of stake block you are way ahead of someone who just got a proof of work block, they can rack up proof of work blocks like crazy and maybe never catch up with the staker. So likely who-ever threw ASICs at it earlier has so many coins that the pathetic one coin per proof of work block just isn't worth wasting a block-eruptor on once they started getting stake blocks.

OMFG.... Again you are trying to prove yourself innocent when you have a hidden agenda !

I had some miners on there for a good 3 hours to see and only hit 3 blocks and a lot more where orphans even with the low difficulty it still doesn't make a difference, the total stake weight from those coins = to 149 days to wait for them to stake when the network weight is massive, no amount of mining will ever make up enough weight to generate a stake, again spreading false promises.

There are over two million coins already out there.

If coin age doesn't count at all things are even worse, but if the first day of age does count, meaning a stake cannot be re-used for one pretended day, counting each block as five minutes, then each 288 blocks those over two million coins all are able to stake again.

So when you do find a coin aka block using PoW, you have less than one in two million chance, and getting lower all the time, of finding a PoS block.

So it is pretty hopeless. Might as well chalk it up as yet another pre-mined coin, and buy it at the IPO (aka "when it gets on an exchange", which in effect is its IPO if it pretends not to be an ICO or IPO coin) if you really want some.

OMFG.... Again you are trying to prove yourself innocent when you have a hidden agenda !

I had some miners on there for a good 3 hours to see and only hit 3 blocks and a lot more where orphans even with the low difficulty it still doesn't make a difference, the total stake weight from those coins = to 149 days to wait for them to stake when the network weight is massive, no amount of mining will ever make up enough weight to generate a stake, again spreading false promises.

THERE IS NO WAY IT WILL TAKE THAT LONG. MINE SAYS 98 DAYS

There are over two million coins already out there.

If coin age doesn't count at all things are even worse, but if the first day of age does count, meaning a stake cannot be re-used for one pretended day, counting each block as five minutes, then each 288 blocks those over two million coins all are able to stake again.

So when you do find a coin aka block using PoW, you have less than one in two million chance, and getting lower all the time, of finding a block.

So it is pretty hopeless. Might as well chalk it up as yet another pre-mined coin, and buy it at the IPO (aka "when it gets on an exchange", which in effect is its IPO if it pretends not to be an ICO or IPO coin) if you really want some.

Would have been nice if ocminer could have gotten the pool to work . i would have mined a few . But I can't stake very long since my internet has a data cap on it . I can stake some but not much . I've been having problems with explorer, and i asked the explorer's dev for help, according to him there's no way to pull tx data apart from local wallet data without getrawtransaction rpc call.
And the fact that the coin doesn't support batch rpc calls is not helping.

It happens fro a lot of deamons, before compiling i always make sure i create an obj folder and some of them require a crypto folder into obj.

in init.cpp are a few

rpc 9902, port 9901

and in protocol.h are again other ports

I've had this happen to my commits before, too. Github likes to delete empty folders sometimes, so chances are it was there when he uploaded it

The coin does not support batch rpc calls, that's why it doesn't work, the daemon doesn't output valid json.

I got in contact with iquidus dev, and he kindly wrote me a json-rpc for batch calls. Though without getrawtransaction rpc call i can't list the blocks.

I don't care enough about NINJA to have to endure new coin swaps every freaking month, a never-ending series of locked threads, a trail of half finished and exploited services, broken promises, cover ups, and a final temper tantrum before the coin is inevitably abandoned in a hail of bullets and childish ill-will. And in the end the price will be just as bad or worse than if the coin just stayed dead.

Nothing personal man, you might be a great guy in real life, but I want to stay as far away from your coins as humanly possible. I just want to stake in peace without all the energy wasting drama and childish antics.

I see that iGotSpots is a known developer in the crypto world just like Satoshi Nakamoto, Charlie Lee & Evan Duffield but as far as I can see his reputation for everything that was said in the above post defines what his coins seem to be all about, tests, tests & more tests.... You know you can always use a Testnet just like how real Developers do, there is heaps of people Testnet mining Bitcoin, Litcoin & various other alts to learn & better upon the existing features/blockchain.

Why release code that is vulnerable when you haven't gone over it 1000 times just to be sure there is no bugs or hacks applicable prior to releasing the coins is my question ?

As I said before TestNets are for testing and developing/improving so that those ideas can eventually be incorporated into the main chain.
