what decision will cablepair take on Fcx35x10?
Give him some time, he probably does not even know yet. A side argument could be that almost all of his posts are 1 word spam posts.. which in my opinion goes against the spirit of the contest.. though I guess a clear rule does not state what constitutes a "post". Even if we count those as real posts, and we go by any given timezone, he hasn't posted at all in two 24-hour periods, on the 16th and 20/21st.

I'm sorry I didn't have the time to formulate paragraphs per post.

After looking at that link, I see he posted on the 16th. It depends on what timezone you are in.

If I read the timezones right, Fcx35x10 won if you go by any other timezone than EST (east coast US). Including the other 3 american timezones.
All entry requirements were based on east coast time, including the cut off times.I hope they give me just a tad of leniency, I do have quite a busy schedule . The contest did not really state that each daily post was specifically for EST time zone. I understood the cut offs were. Your right, the posts were not specified to to be in EST. All other references were stated with EST. I can understand both sides position. Good luck. what decision will cablepair take on Fcx35x10?

According to the rules fcx clearly did win. btw: I did send tom a pm a while ago and also posted in this thread that the rules are not very precise regarding time zones. sure, posts can easily go missing and I assume tom has to read hundreds of posts and mails every day. still, the only logical result is that any time zone is valid.

The entire rules system is kind of strange. I understand wanting to have the people that are active eligible to win, but all it really does is make those people spam "Interesting", "watching" or a smiley once a day to stay eligible. It doesn't actually eliminate non-active participants.

Posts with content. The object shouldn't be spamming the forum daily with pointless posts like those from Fcx35x10. He is on my ignore list due to postings with pages of quotes with nothing of interest added. I spend some time trying to post something which I think people will read every day, and I feel cheated if quoting a lot of images and adding "me too" in a random thread every day qualifies.

Unfortunately it is impossible to define what exactly constitutes ''a post with content'' (other than not being empty, ie. being at least 1 character long) because it is entirely subjective.

A post which was quoted and answered by someone?

I am going to honor both winners. I did not take timezones into consideration - I have been so busy I did not even think about it.
congrats to the both of you
the shipments will go out tomorrow
please keep discussion of this out of the thread it just makes it more difficult to keep track of things
Also given this problem, the confusion and the magnitude of this new giveaway (1 free ModMiner Quad, and 100 BTC Bullion gold bar from cascacius)
plus the fact I dont know what I want to change the signatures to yet I am extending the registration for this contest another 24 hours
good luck!
