I have been thinking about this and true anwser is no online wallet is the best.  All online ones have risks that cold wallets do not.

Some online wallets are needed for small spending, so I agree there is a need.  Keep with well known and tested online wallets is best advice.  Look for one with a long history, and a good history.

If the offer anything such as interest or something to good to be true then stay away it is a scam.  I have not seen a interest ponzi in a while on wallets, so I suppose that is good.

To tell what is the best wallet must have in consideration to many factors. But for me the best bitcoin wallet is coinbase. Even is a bitcoin wallet which is a web wallet and the bitcoins are not in your hands but in the hands of the third parts.

coinbase for me looks worse for non-USA, if something bad happens you can't even sue them without spending lots of money.

coinbase is not recommanded at all yes they have some features and fancy looks but sometime they put hold on your account and ask for documents to remove the hold you dont have to tell your name address etc to use bitcoins this is the purpose of the coin not anymore with the coinbase

yep coinbase doesnt support gambling that is why if they trace your coins that came from a gambling site specially those popular gambling sites, your account will be put on hold and there is a chance that you wont get your bitcoins back

Blockchain is my favorite since I knew bitcoin for a long time.
You will not take much time to learn blockchain's feature since their interface are simple and user friendly

I found something interesting guys. A new wallet called Coinkite It is somewhat similar to Coinbase,
in that it provides plenty of Bitcoin-related services such as Bitcoin debit cards and payment terminals alongside an online wallet feature.
Coinkite uses BIP32 Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) wallets, which are stored in a custom Hardware Security Module (HSM) that is apparently isolated from the Internet.
You can even request audit reports from Coinkite. What is interesting in the case of closure or failure,
Coinkite has promised that it will publicize a symmetric key that contains all the extended private keys that have been distributed to Coinkite users.
This will allow users to reclaim their funds from Coinkite, if the service shuts down. On the paper Coinkite's features are top notch and very fashion forward.

I still find that blockchain.info is preferable to a 3rd party wallet like Coinbase, where you don't actually control your private keys. Having said that, I still don't like using an online wallet that is vulnerable to JS script attacks, not to mention all of blockchain.info's bugs. For a quick and easy desktop solution that is very light, memory-wise, I use Electrum.

May I try and talk you out of the using online wallets for your bitcoins?
When using online wallets, you are pretty much using third party with your money, something like you are doing in the old financial system by taking your savings and puting it into a bank.

Bitcoin has finally let people worldwide to be its own bank so use it. There are many wallets in Bitcoin, try Multibit or Electrum, it is easy to use and to back up your funds!

I agree with the sentiment here. But there should be some distinction made between an online wallet like blockchain.info and a 3rd party wallet like Coinbase. On blockchain.info, you actually are the sole holder of your private keys -- you are simply vulnerable to other attacks that make desktop wallets much more secure.
