My take on next season: Lampard won't make it until next year, Chelsea will struggle to remain in the top6 first half of the season and they'll get KO'd in the group stages of the CL. Quote me on this one, I wanna see whether I got it right or not in 5 months :
I support you on this one, Chelsea will definitely struggle next season and it's obvious, their team at the moment isn't just up to scratch to compete with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, spurs, this teams would definitely top Chelsea on the table, they'll have to settle for 4th place and below. Chelsea would make it past the ucl group stages, but winning the trophy is hardly possible. As for Lampard, I think he'll be giving till next season, then he can arrange his team and sign players of his choosing. Chelsea is indeed going to struggle in the champions league and will be knocked out, but in the premier league they may have an outside chance because of Pulisic. If he can perform consistently then they won’t miss Hazard, and if other players provide him support then Chelsea can easily finish in top 6. Also what do you’ll think of the promise made to Lampard by the Chelsea board, of not sacking him till the end of the season?. News Source: https://metro.co.uk/2019/06/25/chelsea-board-promise-give-frank-lampard-time-given-unique-situation-stamford-bridge-10071100/Chelsea may go further in the Champions League if they start the Premier League in a bad way for example losing 6 matches out of the 10 initial matches, they may change focus and focus only on the Champions League for this year. I know that Premier League teams value more the Premier League compared to Champions League so we will have to wait and see.

The target is top4 finished no one is aiming for the trophy currently. Lampard was an attack minded player and hopefully he brings that into his style of coachiing too. He's the club's top goal scorer and spent most of his professional career at Chelsea that only means he knows Chelsea's in and out and our type of football. The only key player missing is hazard and he has already been replaced so lets just move on like nothing ever happened. No one is also demanding a champions league trophy from Lampard this season. The fans just what to watch the boys play beautiful football and wins games. Ones we see them giving in their 100% at every game. They'll be appreciated unlike Sarri, Lampard is one of ours and we'll always love and respect him.

This is a big plus for Chelsea in signing Lampard, I always think its cool when former midfielders coach teams, they tend to bring in a wonderful brand of football, and that's cos midfielders are actually one of the most intelligent people on the pitch(creativity), they understand the game the most and they bring it to their coaching career, guardiola is a very good example. . They'll be appreciated unlike Sarri, Lampard is one of ours and we'll always love and respect him.
This would also be another advantage to Lampard, he is a Chelsea legend and a fan favorite,he will be given that respect and a more relaxed environment to work in.

@tomahawk9 Do you want to make a small bet regarding Lampard future in Chelsea since we have a difference of opinion regarding the matter?
I'm down! Wanna do it like this? my $20 (Lampard will get sacked before December 31st) for your $30 (Lampard will be Chelsea's manager on Wednesday, January 1st 2020, in the game Brighton vs Chelsea). Quote me and it's on (: It is on. I did't check the game but the date and amounts are enough to make this bet work. The looser shall pay out BTC eqivalent of 20 or 30 USD as per rate on January 1st 2020 at the start of mentioned Brighton-Chelsea game I will leave you neutral trust rating with reference for this post as a way to track the bet. I have few of them going on and it helps me keep track. Great! Good luck, man

I think Abramovich & Chelsea fans would be happy with a top 4 finish in the league & maybe just to get out of the group stage in the CL. It’s clear they’re in transition, it’s probably going to take them a while to become an elite force again. It’s obviously not good to lose Hazard & with a transfer ban not be able to buy anybody.

For the first season for Chelsea who was trained by Lampard, of course finishing in position 4 will be very meaningful for the coach and Chelsea. The owner will be happy, because this is a good start and the following seasons will have the target of league champions and champions of the Champions League.

For those thinking Chelsea can't get something out of the incoming season without hazard, I got something for you. Take time to read this article, Chelsea had more winning success rate when the players were not replying on Hazard's magic to save the day (that's when they played without hazard) he also did cause defensive problem as Sarri had to adjust his team selection to accommodate him. Hazard leaving Chelsea might just be a blessing in disguise to some players and the team. Take Philippe Coutinhoas's departure from Liverpool as an example. ... I think it is unfair that you're judging the rates without Hazard with just 11 matches, the rate would have dropped drastically if games without Hazard continued to 52 as well, Have a doubt ? Then let's make a small bet of $20 to $30, I say Chelsea's next 52 games (starting from the post) would not better that of playing with Hazard ?

That statistics doesn't take into consideration level of opponents and minutes played. I was playing Fantasy last season and had Hazard in my team and ended disappointed a couple of time because Hazard was kept on bench against weaker opponents around Champions league matches. If Chelsea plays well and wining he stays on the bench but if Chelsea plays lousy he enters last 20 minutes to try change the results. Sometimes he managed and sometimes not. My point is that it heavily influences above stats.

I decided to read the article and my point was justified, majority of the matches he missed was from the Europa league, I suppose that explains it all. What these figures don't show, in fairness, is the standard of opposition Chelsea faced in all those games.
Of the eleven he was missing, seven of them were Europa League matches where Sarri's side scored 21 goals and only conceding three times.

Said no one ever LOL Any hardcore Chelsea fans here? I wanna know what you think about that bold statement Btw, Liverpool didn't improve because Coutinho left the team, Pool improved because they bought 3 players that season that turned out to be absolutely phenomenal signings: Salah, van Dijk, and Robertson. That plus the fact that they also had Klopp, a fantastic manager, complete opposite of Lampard.

This is really good for Chelsea because they are not affected and have great hopes for Hazard. If the pre-season alone has given a positive trend, chances are that Chelsea and Lampard are ready for the real competition.

This weren't preseason games, these were Europa games and premier league main season games which we won without the help of hazard, they we're last season games not this current season. @Harkorede, that's a tempting offer but we don't need to bet when the start of the season is just around the corner for we to seat & watch out for the out come. Don't forget, Sarri did bring in a player that suits his style of play so Lampard might need time and transfer window to do the same before we can consider the judgement to be a fair one. @tomahawk9, Salah, Robertson were already players of Liverpool before Coutinho left the club for barca so don't understand your statement. Before he left he was the creative player of the team just like hazard controlling midfield. Van dijk was the only player that came into the team during his period of departure to make their defense stronger.

preparation for MANCHESTER CITY, LIVERPOOL abstained from repeating errors against Napoli. This match was an opportunity for Liverpool to apply a number of improvement notes after a series of negative results. The Champions League defending champions had previously picked up bad results: without a win in four pre-season matches.

So, with the departure of Hazard to Real Madrid, of course, it will provide a special advantage for Chelsea.

How can you be so sure of that? I mean, we don't know what happens in the club room so nobody can't tell for sure how good or how bad Chelsea right now. I'd love to see how they perform on the pitch at 'real' competition without Hazard and hopefully, they can challenge City dominance. I always believe Lampard is always able to provide the best for Chelsea.
Let's hope his team won't perform like Solksjaer's on the 2nd part of the 2018/2019 season.
