Liverpool actually have an upper hand on Chelsea in this upcoming fixture. They (Liverpool) have a very strong team with all their best players likely to feature. They are in their prime now and with all that said, Lampard and his boys can surprise Liverpool(that's my wish)
I don't think we have any chance that Chelsea is going to surprise Liverpool after watching first match of both teams Chelsea was not near to be a team and Lampard was also really struggling and I am sure now he is going to be first manager who is going to be sacked from his job as most of predictions coming about next match I am also sure we are going to be watch another murder by Liverpool in this super cup. I don't try to underestimate Lampard, but I do not think that he is a good manager. I mean he is not experienced enough to handle a big team like Chelsea, indeed he was very talented players years ago but in case of being manager then I think he needs more years to prove his ability in managing a big team. It wont be surprised if he will be sacked if the team starts the season with many losses. As we all what was happened in the past few years. I also wonder why Chelsea did not really active to find great players for this new seasons while they have lost Hazard, I can say that the current squad is (maybe) the worst for a decade.

Every manager has their own difficulties. As Klopp said if you have better players you can play better football. I think Chelsea need to improve their squad if they want to compete to finish in top 4, especially after they lost one of their most important players. Unfortunately, they got a transfer ban. I hope Lampard can improve their squad with proper training so that Chelsea is still competitive this season.

@tomahawk nice win. I did believe Chelsea were the far weaker side, and the odds reflected that but I thought they would be galvanised the way United were with an old boy at the helm. I suppose they weren't in enough dire straits. 4 nil is a bloody result however you look at it and Abramovich will be even more disinterested by this. I mean to lose 4 to nothing is an embarrassment, more so it was to a team that didn't challenge for anything last season.
Now I fear the backlash in Super Cup and damn Chelsea, now the odds will be bad for betting on Pool.
We haven’t discussed LFC for ages brother but I think if Klopp plays our best team Wednesday we’ll murder Chelsea. I think they’ll have a sustained period of mediocrity now, Hazard has gone & they couldn't sign anybody due to the transfer ban. I mean they had some kid called Mount in the first XI & their main striker is a dude who was on loan in The Championship at Villa last season, it’s kind of embarrassing. I predict a comfortable win for Liverpool. I was offered a free ticket but I only just got back from Amsterdam & the flights & hotels are obscene in Istanbul over those couple of days. My prediction is 3-0 Reds You said it, my man. I was very satisfied with the first half performance against Norwich, even without Mane we were a blaze of colour -- credit to the opponents for keeping it open, but that's exactly the type of game we excel in -- although I still think our fullbacks haven't quite shrugged off their preseason creaks. I actually did look at Istanbul ticks thinking maybe this kind of game escapes the price touts but naive to think that in the end. Something that totally slipped my mind when we won. 3-0 is my favourite prediction too, but that will rely on Chelsea playing to our game. I just hope that hammering doesn't cause them to clam up. Be lovely to see our Terrible Trio start though!

Man City play Spurs this weekend, very early in the season for a clash of two of the title favourites. It’d be nice to see Man City drop points, nobody wants to see one team win every game. A competitive league is good for everybody, I think City will win though. They always find a way.

I would be happy if in this match Manchester City did not get the full point. And your prediction regarding City winning in this match is really wrong, I think that Tottenham is exactly that. No matter it plays at manchester city house. You will see how Tottenham plays this time.

Mmmm... There are two managers who got Pep's number. They are Klopp and Poch. Sure Man City has a slightly better chance of winning. But dunno... As I've said a couple of times in the past: I fear for City. Lololol.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka claimed to be better than Trent Alexander-Arnold as the best right-back English Premier League. Former Manchester United player Paul Parker, who called Wan-Bissaka, the best right-back of the Premier League. Parker also saw that Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold was not as good as the Red Devils signing.

They are both great players and it is difficult to say who is better one. If we look defensively, I would choose Wan-Bissaka since Alex-Arnold looks awful when defending. I don't know if that is a temporary lack of form at the beginning of the season or the opposition managers managed to hone in on weakest part of LFC defense. Liverpool looks much weaker on Alex side but that could be also because Robertson has Van-Dijk to help When looking at attacking contributions Wan-Bissaka is good but Alex is one of the best in the world. If we are talking who did more in their career so far, then Alex is miles in front of Wan-Bissaka.

Looking at how they played against a team like Manchester united (still not a bad team obviously but not as high on anybodies list as Liverpool or city) I doubt Chelsea will have a good season, I am guessing the turmoil in the team last season has moved to this season as well and they have been not doing so well this summer neither, I think they will finish top 10 anyway because we are talking about Chelsea and even though they may not be as good as the teams at the top they would always be better than the teams at the bottom and beat them easily which would give them enough points to be at worst 7th in my prediction but I do not see any top 3 from them let alone a championship this season, its more Liverpool and city era right now and until that is over (god knows when) no other team would really rival them I think.

It is still early. Lampard needs time to build a strong team again. Plus they can't buy players because of a case. Chelsea must always be ready for what happens in the future, and just look at the end of the season. Are your doubts true that Chelsea won't play well this season.

I have not seen anything special by Tottenham in the first game. I don't think that they can be the third component and complicate title race between Liv and Mcity. Still can't remember how they are qualified to CL final last year. Sorry, LFC_Bitcoin I understand you, nothing will change except maybe new Manchester City Stadium name and new sponsorship contract.

Never come to my mind that I can trash talk Chelsea with this ManUtd team I'll enjoy this feeling while it last Yeah do that because it won't last long. I doubt United will have a good season. For starters they're no where near City, Liverpool and even Tottenham. If Chelsea (with this squad) could boss your guys around like they did in the first half then just imagine what City & Liverpool will do with the kind of square at their disposal. Chelsea this season has nothing to lose. The little success we achieve, will be praised like we won the whole tournament. You guys should be worries about your fav clubs and not us .

I admit both, Wan-Bissaka and Alexander-Arnold are the best right-backs in the English league. But indeed there are many who judge Wan-Bissaka as the best compared to Alexander-Arnold. Personally, I prefer to see the Alexander-Arnold game. He plays cleverly and quickly. We will look back for the second statistic of the season.

I think that their ban ends in the winter transfer window 2020. Thus they will be able to sign players then, right? If they do, they will enforce their team with some additional power if it is needed. But right now I think that the team is a good one to compete in the championship title run. They probably need time to find the correct connection between them as they are a new team.

I often say this that Lampard should not immediately become Chelsea's main coach because he is still lacking in terms of experience, but yes all coaches must have felt that. I hope he can quickly adapt and develop as Chelsea coach.

It is early, but it would also be early to say City or Liverpool are going to be the winners but people are making their predictions on what they think is going to happen. I would be surprised if things didn't go bad for Chelsea. No new signings, a new inexperienced manager, and losing their star striker. What could go right here??? I agree it's too early to shoot them down and Lampard and co should be given a chance, but the odds re stacked against them. I'm actually looking forward to the Chelsea/Leicester game and Wolves vs Man United. I think they both could be close but lets see how Chelsea do at home and United away.
