UEFA Super Cup Final. Liverpool vs Chelsea.
Get ready for Liverpool. I am very positive that Liverpool is going to crash Chelsea. 3 - 1 very possible. Liverpool is in good shape. They had a flying start in the EPL last week. The team spirit is high of-course.
On the other hand Chelsea will be looking forward to gather themselves as a unit. That 4 - 0 lose against Utd in the EPL first match was very much frustrating for them.

Clearly Liverpool will be seeded. Because seeing the previous match between the two teams, surely Liverpool will be predicted to win this match. I hope many lampard can rise again because of the big defeat with MU.

I just hope Liverpool players do not get tired and it does not effect the match on Saturday against Southampton. They will have two days rest though. Hope on Saturday they will again go to the ground with full energy.

I doubt Chelsea will have a good season
It is still early. Lampard needs time to build a strong team again. Plus they can't buy players because of a case. Chelsea must always be ready for what happens in the future, and just look at the end of the season. Are your doubts true that Chelsea won't play well this season. It is early, but it would also be early to say City or Liverpool are going to be the winners but people are making their predictions on what they think is going to happen. I would be surprised if things didn't go bad for Chelsea. No new signings, a new inexperienced manager, and losing their star striker. What could go right here??? I agree it's too early to shoot them down and Lampard and co should be given a chance, but the odds re stacked against them. I'm actually looking forward to the Chelsea/Leicester game and Wolves vs Man United. I think they both could be close but lets see how Chelsea do at home and United away. Obv Lampard is gonna be given the sack at the end of the season if the mad Russian can stomach Chelsea finishing outside the top 6, around December if he wants to save Chelsea's season and try to finish at the top 6.

I think old football players becoming coaches is not a good idea at all, I mean maybe Lampard because he was always a smart player but if you want to look at good coaches you will see that not many of them were star players ever.
Mourinho is known for not played at a major league at all, only trials and so forth, Klopp wasn't a big name neither, even pep was a decent player but not a star, if you want to look at great coaches most of them are players who have retired early and got into coaching early as well because they knew they wouldn't be players wanted at age 35 so they start early, Lampard wasn't like that many new coaches who are seen like promising future will be a let down because they played instead of coaching in years the other ones started coaching already.

I agree with you. Also, I do not like when I see football players as a manager. But players like Lampard, Gerard, OGS deserve a chance. especially in the club where they provided most time as players. no matter what, we have Guardiola, Zidane, Ancelotti ... who were great players and have a great manager career also.

I appreciate your smart thinking. I think so too, that lampard is a good player when he is still playing. And for the coach I don't think it's time yet, but because of the chelsea management's decision to appoint him as the coach to replace Sarri. Surely lampard will take this, so let him now build and how Chelsea in the future.

On the other hand Chelsea will be looking forward to gather themselves as a unit. That 4 - 0 lose against Utd in the EPL first match was very much frustrating for them.
Liverpool will clearly head into the game with a superior psychological advantage over Chelsea, as the blues enter tonights match on the back of a 4 -0 loss to arch rivals Manchester United, while on the other hand Liverpool ran out comfortable winners against Norwich. But nonetheless this is definitely going to be a tough game, as Chelsea played far better than the scoreline suggested on Sunday, let's hope they fix their pitfalls in tonights match, and are able to score goals when the opportunity presents itself. I think Chelsea would win 2-1 tonight

Liverpool will meet again with Chelsea on Wednesday (08/15/2019) early morning hrs at the Vodafone Park Stadium, Istanbul, Turkey in the European Super Cup. But in this fight Hazard is no longer in Chelsea uniform because he has moved to Real Madrid. Although no more Hazard, Van Dijk still asked Liverpool to be aware of Chelsea's attack line. He felt the London Blue team had many quality players.

If Chelsea does wins tonight giving Lampard his very first Chelsea silverware (minus the preseason silverware which isn't relevant) I would surprise every user that hasn't lost hope on Chelsea yet. The users that have previously predicted a win for Chelsea (unedited post or last edited time isn't older than this post) would get a gift from me. I believe in Lampard even though he losses to Liverpool (there's no shame in that). They're the best team currently in Europe but like they said, it's football and anything can happen. I still believe the boys will get a narrow win. Just hoping it comes true.

at least that hope will be realized with Chelsea who have gotten 1 goal. Just waiting for the second half, if it still survives with the initial score, sure Chelsea can win without danger and make the first trophy for lampard.

They sure played a very good football in the first half after initial 10 minutes. I didn't predict Chelsea win but I played a ticket where I backed Chelsea to score at least 2 goals. Looking good so far. To be fair I thought the result would be like 4:2 for Lpool. Chelsea is actually playing very good football this season but they are missing too many opportunities. As I said after Man utd game that one could have easily finished very differently if they had a bit more luck and 4:0 result was not realistic.

The more interesting the match in the second round. Liverpool dominated the attack that created 1 goal for Liverpool which made the score temporarily balanced. I am happy with the barrage of liverpool attacks. What makes Chelsea Chelsea always alert.

Finally Liverpool won it on penalty shootout. I am sad because Chelsea really tried hard. I hope that they are going to be competitive like they were tonight during the whole season. Good calls from Lampard.

I really saw how hard Chelsea shot after shot happened.

I had no idea Liverpool were playing Chelsea last night.
Most managers these days are ex players and it's only going to become more common now as the retirement age is probably getting younger and younger and being retired in your thirties is a pretty harsh blow, but what better job is there for them to do than being a manager. They're certainly qualified or have the experience. I think people need to stop putting too much pressure on managers and expect them to win everything. These days if you lose a couple of games in a row people start to talk about you being sacked and managers don't get chance to build their teams and win anything. Remember Fergie didn't win anything for the first few years. Pep's first managerial gig was Barcalona B team and even they are probably better than most other teams. He then wen't straight into managing Barca, and if we're being honest, you'd have to be pretty terrible to not win anything with them. If you put me in charge of Barcelona or Man City I'm pretty sure I'd win something. Too much credit is given to managers especially when they've gone straight into managing world class teams, but as I've said before, let's see how well a manager like Pep would do managing a team from the lower leagues. Go manage a team Grimbsy and get them into the Premier League then I'll call you great

It's regrettable that you didn't watch the match last night. It was a very interesting match. Liverpool and Chelsea provide both spectacle and attacking games.

Liverpool vs Chelsea - under 2.5 @2.26 ✔ Current record: 3W | 0L The last all-english european final finished 2-0 so I figured this one was gonna be more of the same...It wasn't as boring as the CL final, but the scoreline did finish with u2.5 goals in FT And good thing I didn't go for ML like I said a few days ago. Chelsea is actually playing very good football this season but they are missing too many opportunities.
If I were Lampard, I'd be satisfied with yesterday's performance. A draw against the CL winners is no small feat, especially if you consider that Chelsea lost their best player and a key member of the defence over the past few years. There's room for improvement, and perhaps Chelsea won't be a shit as I thought they'd be before the season started

You hit great odds there As for Lampard, of course he should be satisfied with the result. He made a great comeback after the 4-0 defeat. However, he was so close to his first trophy with Chelsea. He would probably feel sad for that as it was a great opportunity for his first tile as Chelsea's manager.
