There is more to come for Liverpool, and they are going to be overwhelmed with matches and trips as a result of being European Champions. I have seen this kind of thing happen to Real Madrid for the past few years. Players start to feel the fatigue towards the end of the season.

Klopp's training is tiresome, which is why his team can do almost 60 minutes full of high-press for each match. I think he already learns how to fully utilize his team energy and make sure not to burn them out. Last season is good, and if there's no injury, I think the rotation could be better.

I'd love to see whether Liverpool also wants to win the Carabao cup or not this season. That will make their schedule full of matches.

They’ve missed a couple of penalties in games too which would have gained them more points. I agree, they haven’t been unlucky. They’re a very average team in transition, it’s going to take at least a couple of seasons to shift the dead wood & build a squad capable of challenging. They’ll need a new manager too, not a Norwegian PE teacher Grin
Yes, I agree that they actually have a chance to end the match and get full points, but they waste it.
to improve their performance like when handled with SAF I think it will be difficult, several seasons have passed the results still same,
they play poorly. whether their era is over, or is this part of the transition, I don't care.

I think the big teams prioritise the PL & the CL, it’s difficult to compete & try to win the domestic cups too. Only really Man City have a big enough squad to go for everything.

Manchester City does have a complete army. I believe that Man City in the domestic league is very impressive, but in the Champions League they don't have the mental strength to do it. It has been proven, they are not able to compete in the champions league.

I agree with what you say.
I must admit that the manchester city army was indeed great and that has been proven. They are hard to beat if in the English league, but as you say they are at UCL they are only able to compete in the last 16/8. The rest they do not have the mentality now for UCL.

City need to understand that to be a great team and to be put on the same level as the top European giants, they need to do much better in the Uefa champions league, either winning the title or making it to the final.

It's also very important for pep Guardiola, I think there are already so many questions being asked.
since leaving Barcelona he has not been able to win the UCL, but have won domestic titles in all the clubs he's coached in since then.He needs to clear the doubts raised against him by winning the UCL title with city.
City are a strong contender again this season, they should make the most of it.

Nemanja Matic has been short of playing at Manchester United this season. Matic stressed that there was no problem with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
MU has played four matches in the English League this season. Matic inhabits the bench a lot, he once became a substitute when Manchester United offset Southampton 1-1.
Matic was reportedly by British media that they were getting hot because they didn't get a chance to play. Although rumored to be leaving Old Trafford, he remained until the transfer window closed.

Man United let go of quite a number of players this past transfer window, and they failed to get sufficient replacements in, this could have added to the reason why Matic wasn't allowed to leave the club. They need depth in the squad.

If you meant upset, then I will add that Manchester United has not fallen that low yet. They are the bookmakers pick in fixtures like that.

Be sure, Matic is not one of those who gets angry about everything. If you remember, Mourinho substitutes them even though he came off the bench. they never had a problem because of that. Matic is a professional.

He buys three very important players, it is not Aston Villa to buy 12 players and start the season with players who do not know each other. Transition, it is slow but it can be fine at the end, although it will be painful for the fans.

Their team is absolutely complete in all positions.
In my opinion Manchester City lacks of European football culture. If they add this variable to their play style then they are be a challenger for the CL title.

I don't think that Manchester City will be different in the Champions League, they seem to be more focused on UCL than EPL, their team is very solid and they have a coach who has experience in winning the UCL trophy.. even Michael Owen predicts that Man City will be the UCL 2019/20 champions.

EPL this season is Liverpool's time. They were as unstoppable in the last few games and managed to be at the top of the current English League standings by collecting 12 points.

The Manchester City team been solid or the coach level of experience in terms of UCL tournament doesn't justify their performance to be off the hook in the upcoming UCL if they don't do the right preparation for the game because every other clubs also want to be the winner of the trophy.

They will surely have to give up on Carabao. I guess they will try to field mostly young players for that tournament. EPL demands a lot of strength (both physically and mentally) and given that there are more tournaments for English teams than the other 5 top leagues. It's going to be very challenging for them even if most of their players don't get injured.

They have to play Club World Cup, Champions League, FA, English Premier League and then Carabao. Remember most of Liverpool's players didn't get enough rest because of other continental tournaments like African Cup of Nations, COPA America, UEFA Nations League of which some of them even reached the Finals

If you say the coach's experience, of course that's true. But the player is playing. It is definitely needed by players who play a lot in the champions league. The EPL and UCL surge are very different, really hoping Manchester City this season can prove that. Because seeing the previous season, they did not have the mentality for the champions league.

Matic probably doesn't fit Solskjaer's style of play and that's the reason why he isn't getting quality playing time, I expected nemanjer matic to leave the team in this just concluded transfer window, but I think united were unwilling to sell him as they needed more backup players in case of injuries or suspensions.

Matic fits into the Mourinho kind of play, usually more defensive than not, that's why Jose spent the amount he did to acquire his signature, Solskjaer plays rather differently and is more attacking, matic would need to be patient to see if his time comes and if it doesn't, he should push for a move in January.

Still confused why Solskjaer who always plays Jesse Lingard, even though he did not provide big contrubution to the team. the assists he gave during the last 3 seasons are still inferior to Adam Johnson, even though he's been in prison for 3 years lol. Man utd still need a lot of star players, to strengthen the squad of his team.

Ole doesn’t play Matic because he’s not fast enough for his system, and he tends to slow the team down whenever he’s playing. I’m not sure why the club retained him for this season, they should have sold him and brought Bruno instead as it’s evident we needed a strong midfielder. @iMark Lingard gets to play because he’s a British player and has graduated from the club academy, and Ole is his big admirer so until we get a new coach we’ll see lot of game time for Lingard.

Maybe they don't have the money, and some contracts details would cost them some money if they sold him?

I heard that the current MU owner really wants to get as many profits as possible in terms of buying/selling players, so probably they don't want to sell somebody and buy another that has no guarantee will perform as good as before. Like Pogba, for example.
