Arsenal did play well in the first games of the Premier League and we are still there in the beginning.I think that Watford had nothing to lose because they have started the Premier League with lost games so they attacked in the second half and got a precious point against Arsenal.

Arsenal can not take advantage of the situation. They should be able to get 3 points to compete with other teams. But unfortunately they are only able to draw, oh my god. A draw of 20th place (final) is truly unfortunate.
But one should see also that Watford are a really good team that do not deserve to be in the last place,,, they have a young side that have been very daring in attacking, the only problem for me is they simply lack finishing. See the past few matches missing open goals. But the way they took the first goal shows they still have desire and instinct so it is never too late season is still so long.

So far he seems very promising. He needs to play more matches and considering his performance I hope he will get his shots.
Chelsea lack of transfer activity is a blessing in disguise; it seems. Lots of young players got promoted by Lampard. They now feel like Ajax or Dortmund. Still, they need to improve their defense. Decrease conceding an own goal, improve stability with the back and long ball, and they're good to go. I don't think that Chelsea is going to make big things this season. It is a good sign that Lampard uses young players in the squad and maybe Chelsea can make money from that or born a new star. They need both ways whatever finally happens...

Chelsea lack of transfer activity is a blessing in disguise; it seems. Lots of young players got promoted by Lampard. They now feel like Ajax or Dortmund. I remember signing this exact words on numerous occasions on this platform particularly this thread. Got attacked then questioned on so many occasions but that didn't stop my optimism. Some individual even thought Lampard would be sack soon or later and more believe (support to that thought) came after our lost to Manchester United, forgetting we outplayed them especially at the first half. So far Chelsea's first half have always be phenomenal. We're having problem at the back which needs to be resolved soon before we turn into Arsenal (defensively). We'll be meeting the best team in Europe (Liverpool) and probably the best currently in the premier for our next game. It won't be a shame if we lose although I'm still positive, we can get something out of the matches especially if we can get a comfortable 2/3 goals lead then try to defend Liverpool attacks probably ending up with a draw or win. We did it in the super cup (drew with Liverpool) although this current form, the team are in will be difficult to end. But irrespective of the outcomes of the match, don't forget this words "Lampard is buidling something special at Chelsea".

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has signed a new contract to stay with the club until 2023. De Gea was bought from Atletico Madrid in an £18.9m deal in June 2011. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49719629Image Source: bbc.comThis is a positive for his boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester united at large because i can't imagine how much disaster would have happened at United if De Gea had decided to leave the club earlier. He has literally been their pillar at the back for a number of seasons now.

This is Chelsea's second real test in the EPL, so I think they really need to prove something in this game, the first was against united and it ended in a thrashing, losing your first two big games against the big six is not a nice start, you need to also be able to beat the big boys to show you're ready to compete in the league. No doubt Chelsea have been doing well, at least far better than expected, not that they are way below the performances they've put up, but just because of the way people gave then zero chance before the league commenced. If Chelsea can beat Liverpool, then they are real contenders for the title.

But it can become of that kind because the potential that this team has is really interesting. Young English players like Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham can build up to something great at Stamford. They love the club, they have been there for a dozen years. They feel the club in their hearts and they will fight for this club on the pitch, providing some of the continuity after Lampard's and Terry's departure a couple of years ago. It this team capable of fighting for the trophy? No, at least not yet but the future seems really bright for those boys.

Strange news for me I thought de gea would leave, was he not already looking at someone else and stalling his contract recently? But anyway good for him. He was the saviour of Manchester United for many many games and god knows where they would be if he was not protecting their goal. So sad to see a great team become like them but this is what happens when you rely on superstars and high wages.

That's probably bullshit news as usual. Remember, most media spread low quality, clickbait, provocative news that might have no verifiable and trusted source at all. They love to spin and make their own interpretation of what managers & players said in front of them. Never, ever, trust news that are not released by the club itself.

Seems like De gea wants to retire from Manchester United. I don't think that it would be easy for him to find another bigger club where he would be able to play on the first line up. He made a wise choice which gives him the opportunity to still play competitively in a historic club.

If Chelsea can beat Liverpool, then they are real contenders for the title. I don't think anyone is expecting Chelsea to contend for the title this season. The main goal is securing a spot in the champions league next season which can only be done by ending the season in top 4 or winning the champions league. Anyone expecting us to win it all this season is day dreaming although it's football and anything is possible. Lampard will need more that 1 transfer window before we can start demanding he brings the premier league title home. For now we have eyes on other cups he can probably win to complement the wonderful season i foresee him having.

Actually it is not wrong if Chelsea compete to become league champions. But I agree with you too, that the other more important target is to enter the champions league zone for next season. For this season, Chelsea really are in doubt to compete in the EPL to be champions, but if it is capable, then even better.

I don't expect for a wonder from Chelsea this season considering how things went down for them but they are starting to turn around things for themselves. On other hand it is good opportunity for Mount and Abraham as well to prove their worth and dedication for the team. BTW it's not too late things and they can change table in their favour if they continue to perform like on last round in upcoming rounds. I have put my money on the line for their CL match against Valencia. Things will not go down easy for them but somehow I feel Chelsea is gonna win this. Hope that becomes the case

Too bad, didn't go that way, money lost , Chelsea were obviously the ones tipped to win that game, buy they didn't. Their performance was really great and they missed a couple of good chances, since the beginning of the season, I think Chelsea have been playing real well, but they've not been picking up victories, even in games they totally did play better than their opponents, just like this one, Valentia made the most of their limited chances. Liverpool also lost to Napoli and this sets up their encounter between Liverpool and Chelsea this weekend well, as the two sides are coming up against each other on the back of midweek Champions league defeats, no psychological advantage for any of the sides, it's down to who can recover better. If Lampard does win this, it'll be a massive boost to his morale as Chelsea manager.

Chelsea vs Liverpool should be a great match. Both teams lost midweek although you could say both possibly didn’t deserve to lose. Chelsea missed a penalty which would have made it 1-1 & Liverpool conceded a penalty which shouldn’t have been given. I really don’t understand what is the point of VAR if it doesn’t change wrong decisions.
Any way, I think Chelsea vs Liverpool will be a close one, maybe a draw.

After the recent results that Chelsea have done, i don't think that this match is going to be very competitive. I believe that Liverpool is going to dominate this game and probably score around 3 goals in the match as Mane is on fire. Chelsea is building something new with Lampard and they definitely need more time for that.

Well, we know that Lampard and Chelsea need time to build a team. But usually they will be strong if they meet a strong team. So this week's match, it might be fierce and Liverpool could lose their points. I hope this will be a draw.

Chelsea might try to force the game into a draw or even win it. but playing in anfield the match atmosphere is definitely different, seeing liverpool match statistics it's difficult for Chelsea to hold a draw or win it. if it is indeed possible it may be their best day. if Chelsea were able to defeat LFC they would add more pain after yesterday loosing in UCL

But it will be difficult to achieve, the draw results will be very good for Chelsea. Playing at home to Chelsea only affects a few percent, the rest of the players are determined. Both of these teams will receive illness for the second time, because both Chelsea and Liverpool both suffered defeat at UCL.
