Pretty big upset, a good match too.  It was fun to watch ManU take advantage of their few possessions.

Manchester City were in for a surprise tonight  
One thing that United did so well was keep calm and catch them on the break. They were so clinical in front of Goal. Also, Manchester City's Engine KDB was tightly marked thus making City's forward moments difficult.

It was not until Mahrez came that City started becoming deadly once again but it was a little too late.

I'm sure Manchester City underestimated Man United prior to the game. I was shocked to see Man Utd 2-0 up at the Etihad stadium. Soljskjaer does deserve a pat on the back for the job well done. If I'm not mistaken, Manchester united haven't lost to a big team this season.

That is the things with derby games, anything can happen in them. Bragging rights are very important to supporters of both teams so they go all-out trying to win and to put on a great display.

Both teams played very well. Manchester City started to step up their game too late in the second half. Manchester United seemed to soak up all the pressure and simply hit them on the counter attack and also were patiently building up from the back. They seemed very confident from the word go.

Manchester City for some reason are leaking too many goals, I think they have conceded around 12 goals more than at this stage last season. Something is not right with their defence. Their goalkeeper is excellent, just a pity for him he could not keep Martial out which made it 0-2 but Martial did very well to score. I thought De Gea and Ederson both had an excellent game today.

Easy wins for Liverpool and Tottenham today.
Kane scored 2 goals for Tottenham and he is in top form.
I hope nobody catched that silly low odds for City vs ManUTD game...

Tottenham Hotspur did well by not conceeding,  Mou had done justice to the defense, I wasn't expecting such huge scoreline from Tottenham without conceeding
I guess Liverpool has the ambition to become the second team to win epl unbeaten

Wow, I hadn't notice the Tottenham match until now, 5 goals against Burney is pretty impressive.  Regardless, ManU just knocked them out of 5th place with their win over City.  Now if only Arsenal would start putting a few wins together. 

It would be pretty cool to see LFC sweep the season.  They're are so dominant in every facet, it's very much a possibility.  They're having a historic season no matter how it ends.

Manchester City may be lacking the high level of hunger which they had the past two seasons, after winning back to back premier league titles, it's very easy to lose focus and seem a little complacent. Liverpool on the other hand have been anxiously waiting for their chance at a league title for about 3 decades. This may be what separates both teams at the end of the season.

Leicester are emerging as the closest contenders, I am inclined to think City would be the second best team, but I would not want to underrate the foxes.

At this point it'll still be foolish to believe city can still win the league, any of such hopes have been crushed after todays loss, city look a complete shadow of themselves and from their performance today, they'll not close in on Liverpool, but will fall further behind, city must improve or face the possibility of ending the league trailing Liverpool with more than 20 points.

Pep Guardiola must now prioritise another tournament, maybe the Uefa champions league and Fa cup or the carabao cup, because with the quality of players the club affords him, he cannot go trophyless, and for now the Epl definitely has slipped out of their reach.

Forget about Arsenal,  the whole squad needs a total reform,  starting from the defender to the midfielders, it's a sure game that West Ham will surely score against Arsenal,  I feel so sorry for Auba,  he came to Arsenal at the wrong time, I wont be surprised if he eventually leave Arsenal by January.  It's so frustrating that you keep on scorring and you defenders are not doing their best to keep a clean sheet

As a Manchester United fan I will say that am very happy with result but not happy with the way Solksjaer choose to approach the game in the second half where he made the players defend all the time because that made a lot of pressure come unto the players which makes theme tired all the time. I will say kudos to De Gea for the spectacular save against Mahrez which would have made the game a draw.

You can't play total football against City. Parking bus is probably better especially if your team isn't as good as them (on paper of course).

With that said, United is still not that good against a team that park the bus. So, good luck with fighting the top 4 spots.

However, the different results they actually get when against the middle board down. They always struggle to win. I think MU players play more prestige now than club achievements.

Fighting the top teams might provide a motivational boost for all players and coaches to play well and get full points.away games against Manchester last night are always a tough test in every season, this result is very good compared to previous visits, Hopefully they are consistent with their game a head.
The results of their last few matches have been able to push them to fifth place. their position might drop if Wolverhampton Wanderers able to win tonight.

At around 25 minutes of the first half I placed a bet for Chelsea in draw no bet market. They were playing well but really was not capitalizing the chances but I thought the matche has enough time and team like Chelsea will come back strong. But after conceding the 2nd goal very quickly in the 2nd half, my hopes were totally gone but in few minutes when Chelsea scored their first goal (it was a beauty to watch from Mateo again), I thought may be a draw I can expect. Never happend! That final goal because of shit defense sealed the match for Everton.

Bad start for me in this round. In the pool no point too.

I assumed that you didn't know chelsea this season always leading first and never make any comeback from 1-0 down or so, that's why I turn to everton instead expecting Chelsea to comeback .

The whole team overall were good except the two center back zouma and christensen, both makes too much error ., the situation at the back could be really different if tomori was there, but he got benched due Lampard need to make a rotation as in three days they have to play in champions league, a crucial match, do or die match.

If Manchester United had been stronger against teams from the bottom half of the table or against teams that they ought to have won comfortably against, probably they should be title contenders at this time of the season, but inconsistentcy and poor performance against smaller teams is what's proving to be their biggest problem this season.

If you ask me, I'll say Solskjaer should be given more time as uniteds manager, this rebuilding process wouldn't happen in just one season, they have proven that they are not pushovers and that they can match the big teams on any day, it's up to the manager now to solve other lingering issues in the team and see if they'll compete for the title next season, a change of manager now would lead to a start from square one.

Arsenal had been shadow of former self I agreed with you that the team need a total reformation and overhauling imagine a team parading the likes of moustafi in their defence this is a defender that had been rated the second worst defender in europe, the likes of david Luis and Sokratis has nothing to offer in that back line No wonder Gary Naville a former Man utd player turned soccer analyst had written those defenders  off as an Arsenal fan I really felt bad watching the team conceding cheap goals while Auba and Lacazette are upfront scoring goals.

man, this is derby manchester! Derby can be a place to compete for prestige. see how MU legends are compactly making support for players to play with their passion for the club. You might be surprised to see some players who might play well during the derby. IMHO no matter what team was ranked, at the time of the derby it would be meaningless because they could have played very different from the previous game
