The saddest thing is that the goal came in the 96th minute when there should have been 95 minutes. Bad luck foe them but i still think they have a good chance to catch a UCL spot. It's probably going to come down to the ladt match against Man United and Leicester to see who is going to get that last UCL spot.

This week I've been rooting for teams who had good chance to take the position. First Chelsea dropped points and I was after Leicester to take the 3rd spot ...they lost. Now Man Utd. had chance they played draw. Guess nobody loves to move to 3rd spot.

It's probably going to come down to the ladt match against Man United and Leicester to see who is going to get that last UCL spot.

Unless they make a difference in points in next two rounds It should get down to the last game between the both. That would be exciting to see if it happens.

This result coupled with the decision made by UEFA earlier on today that Manchester City will participate in next year's UEFA Champion's League will even make the Last day Match between Leicester City and Manchester United even much more mouth watering.

Guess nobody loves to move to 3rd spot.

Not when Chelsea are currently occupying that position as it's ourselves until the season ends. Lampard needs that third positive to boost his ego that he did better than Sarri in regards to premier league ranking. Sure Sarri did win a trophy too but all hopes aren't lost as we still have the FA cup to fight for and by his Grace champions league (yes, this is football, anything can happen).

Manchester Unites got that two simultaneous goals to level up and have an advantage over Southampton then thought they got the match in the bag. Kudos to the Saint for not giving up hope and fought until they got the point they truely deserve.

What a disappointing night. After Chelsea and Leicester city both lost and dropped points, everyone was expecting Manchester United to utilize the opportunity to go to the 3rd position. If they had just held on longer or increased their lead. Earlier today, Man city got their ban lifted (with fine). This means there's no automatic ticket for anyone at the 5th position anymore. The lost means Man Utd has more work to do now. They have to win their last 3 games  to stand a chance.

Not a United fan but I expected more from the team and they just couldn't deliver on a big night. If Chelsea and Leicester had won their matches, I'm sure Man United would have  won today's game too.  They felt it will be an "easy" 3 points.

You are very right, but i think the manchester united fought to the end, they played under so much pressure; where dominant and got good goals, but the team got tired and knackered and could not press further up the pitch; Southampton played with nothing to lose; and Utd under so many pressure laxed off at the very end, by not clearing their lines. Its a tight end to the top 4 race.

It is really tight over there, ManU is lucky, Leicester is crappy and Chelsea is unhappy. In the other hand, Wolves +/- Sheffield are watching the fight and trying to sneak and get part of the cake.

That match would end in a draw assuming both clubs wins all their matches before that D-Day but that's unlikely to happen. Don't also forget, Chelsea still has the champions (Liverpool) to play which is going to be a very difficult game for us to win and would be happy with a draw too. The chances of any among the current contenders of the champions league spot to drop our is certain considering the 3rd position (Chelsea) is just using 1 point to pass the 4th and 5th while they (4th and 5th) have more goal differences then the 3rd.

Meaning any slight mistakes, the table has turned. Also since the only difference between the 4th (Leicester) and 5th (United) are goal difference, that would also make the match a must win for both parties.

Nah look United got a point. They still get to meet Leicester remember and that one if they keep playing like they have been they will surely win it easily especially when Brendan Rodgers men are all tired as hell. Not that I'm a fan of United but they should win that one comfortably in my mind. All will be settled there and then.

to be honest, after yesterday's game does anyone still believe that manchester united can take third or fourth place? I honestly do not believe and the reason that made me no longer believe in this possibility is that Manchester United does not know how to take advantage of opportunities when they have an opportunity and after not having won yesterday's game I very much doubt that Manchester United will get the third or the fourth place

I would not consider it unlucky, in my opinion Manchester Unite is not yet strong enough to be in the big competitions if he cannot at least be in third place

I must say the last round was a disaster for punters and bookies made good profit from it. Too many unexpected result. Man U to draw, Tottenham vs Arsenal was tricky though, Sheffs winning by 3 - 0 against Chelsea, Liverpool to draw against Burnley was surprising too and favored bookies for sure.

I don't think we're going to throw away this 3 free points like we did against Sheffield United. Norwich wouldn't cause alot of trouble as they have been very poor, they lost all their last five matches meaning we have an advantage going into this match.

We're great in possession like Manchester city but just lack the finishing ability they do but I'm very optimistic we'll be getting three goals today (scorers; Giroud, William and Christian Pulisic) in regards to keeping a clean sheets, that I can't bet on as defensively we're the least among the top.

what a shitty round in Premier league, all top teams, except City had their bad moments, and there was no win, this round could be different for CL fight:
- United has a match with Palace, think that they will easily do it, MUFC win
- Chelsea has a match with Norwich, think that they will win as well
- Leicester plays with Sheffild United, do not think that win is an option, probably draw

most interesting should be on Emirates, Liverpool needs win for a 100 points, but do not think that it will be easy

I have 2 - 0 for Chelsea. Well, no one expected Chelsea to concede 3 goals against Sheffs in an away match but it was surprising. It seems in football we are seeing to many unexpected results. Last week was a good example. Norwich is a team who did not win any match in a row for long time. I hope this become easy for Chelsea to grab full three points.

In my previous post, Manchester United and Leicester had to take advantage of this situation. Because Chelsea suffered defeat.

But unfortunately, Leicester and Manchester United cannot play optimally. Even Leicester suffered an embarrassing defeat. The more worried the position of Manchester United to enter the UCL.

Many people said the same thing before the match between United vs. Southampton. Many people thought that United will be able to win the game easily due to their stable performance in the last several matches but once again we see that Premier League this season is full of surprises even till this time when the league is going to finish. Bad for United, they should be on 3rd if they could win against Southampton.

3 more remaining rounds and lets see the schedule for the teams that has the chance to grab the CL spot.

With above remaining matches for each team, I think United has the best chance to gain more points than the other two teams. Of course, surprises may still happen on the remaining 3 rounds but my prediction for the end of league will be United on 4th Chelsea on 3rd and Leicester down to 5th or even 6th.
