Hello! I've always had a interest in Mining, so I was wondering what a good $ per KWH is. In my area I pay a little above $0.07.

What do you pay? What's the best price for profitable mining?

I would say that 0.07USD is quite cool price for mining, at least you will most probably cover the costs..

regarding costs worldwide, is cool to check: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electricity_pricing

and you will realize how cheap your electricity is. and btw, did you read this? http://www.coindesk.com/information/mining-profitability/

The best price is definitively "free" electricity(of course). But for operation where you have to pay by kWh, a good price is 0.03USD~/kWh.
You probably don't need that low to ROI on a proper purchase, but keep in mind that's what you're competing with.

The best price is 0, if you can find free electricity then hardware is your only cost.

Anything less than $0.10/KWH seems to still be good for mining based on today's btc price and network difficulty.  There are several online calculators that can tell you if mining is profitable at your location.

Damn that is insanely cheap, where is that even at? Must be somewhere near nuclear or tons of natural resources for power!

Québec here is 5cents~ CAD so thats like 3.8cents USD. It bump up to 6cents~CAD if you use more than like 30kWh per day, so its really 0.04~0.045USD/kWh. I'm pretty sure nuclear is more expensive? Here we're all on Hydro electricity. Effective and Clean Wink

Those that get 3~ cents are prolly some weird places, poor places or ... China(?). xD I read some quotes saying China pay 3-5cents. So it all make sense heh.

That price is in Washington State if its in the U.S.  We are on this grid and the prices are true.

the maximum above which you are not profitable was around 0.11 with the s5, the most efficient, but this change with the diff of course

i would say that you should aim at 0.05 for a fast return of your investment, the lower the better this is obvious...
