And the Europa League.  Meh.  I think the UEFA should just get rid of that competition and expand the CL.  It's not really doing much for the teams except for money making purposes (which is good I guess).

If the authorities of football allow to extend the champions league somehow, then there would be no fair left from their side but it will be an exciting thing only for the football fans not for the football players because they also want to enjoy their life by arranging different events for themselves with their families like going to trip, or along vacations as they can easily afford all the expenses but the authorities will never do it because they care more about their players then the fans.

This is all but speculation unless the draw is made and  so we should be patient and wait for the draw, on the other hand i don't think Chelsea is a bad side at all especially in the champions league campaign. The league may have been won in advance by city and so the motivation might not be there and so we shouldn't just ridicule Chelsea based on their league form.

My predictions about UCL playoffs:
Chelsea - Barcelona. Very interesting pair. I think that Barca have a little better chances to go further.
Real - PSG. Strange to see Real getting powerful opponent in early playoff stage. Both teams are contenders to win trophy, but one of them will end European campaign very early. I would like to see PSG winning in this pair, but I think Real will go further.
City - Basel. I think it's more than clear who will win. But TBH, Basel is not bad team.
United - Sevilla. MU is favorite, despite that they aren't playing nice football. Sevilla are playing too much unstable.
Juventus - Tottenham. Tottenham looks great in UCL so far, but I don't see Spurs winning against Juventus.
Roma - Shakhtar. Roma is favorite, but from what I saw so far, I wouldn't be surprised if Shakhtar will win. Especially because game in Ukraine will be in harsh climate.
Liverpool - Porto. Liverpool got powerful opponent, but they really need to win.
Bayern - Besiktas. Everything is clear there.
But there are lot of time left until these matches and lot of things may change.
And finally we will see some interesting matches in Europa league. Group stage was too boring to watch.
