It will be crucial for Juve to defend their goal. They have been known as a great defensive team, with only one goal in their net in last 16 matches, but they will have some problems caused by absence of some players(Dybala, Cuadrado, Matuidi). Tottenham is in great form when we look derby matches, they won against Arsenal and Manchester and played 2:2 with Liverpool. Kane scored 32 goals this season, one mistake in defense could give him a chance to score again. In that case, re-match in London could be a great chance for Tottenham to pass to the next round.I agree that both teams will be very careful tonight, therefore I also think that we will see not more than two goals on match tonight.
Match between Basel and Man City is not that interesting for me, Guardiolas boys will easily qualify to the quarter-finale.

Looks like I'm the one going against the grain. Got a bet riding on over 2 goals @1.95, Juvie's definitely got one goal in them, and I'm counting on Dele to show his usual European form to get at least one goal, if not an assist. If the goal comes within 30 mins, then I'll breathe easy. Spurs have been upsetting the big teams at Europe, much like Liverpool used to do. I have a feeling Champs League seems to be a sort of looked forward to by the Spurs and Liverpools who want to forget the pain of Premier League.

The City game doesn't have nice pickings... barely @1.6 for over 2.5 but Basel bookings -0.5 look pretty good @1.95. Am sure they'll want to attack while they're at home, but at the same time are sure to pick up a card or two more than the City slickers.

Man City have got one more goal while Tottenham Hotspurs have pulled one back. Spurs can make the game a little interesting if they score another goal. Watching that match. Higuain just missed a penalty to end the first half as 2-1. He could have put the match to bed with a goal there and taking 3-1 lead.

Tottenham managed to hold Juventus at the Allianz Stadium, they have a good chance when they compete in the second leg later because they will be supported by supporters. This draw will make the second leg match hard for Juventus, especially if they still have to be reinforced without key players like Dybala, Matuidi and Cuadrado still injured. I hope in the second leg match one of the key players from Juventus can be shown so that the game can be more exciting.

I don't know what just happened with juventus game , they were leading by 2 goals since the first 10 minutes , after that higuain miss a penalty to get the lead at 3-1 , very poor game after that from the Italian team , strange substitutions from Allegri , and it was for sure a very low game from midfielder players and the manager didn't try to fix that problem so it was very clear that Tottenham can get back in the game and that was happens in the end . The spurs made a great option to pass the turn after this result and performance in juventus home stadium .

Actually, Premier league is a top league at the moment. There are quite a few teams that could win the Champions league (some of them would need a great amount of luck, but they could still pull it off) - Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool. I wouldn't even be surprised to see two of them competing in the final. However, I do believe that teams from other countries still have a great say in this. By that, I mean Barcelona, Real Madrid & PSG primarily. Bayern is unfortunately still recovering from bad decisions they made a couple of seasons ago (replacing the top manager with another top manager - but of a very different character, which was completely unnecessary at the time), maybe next season they could be strong enough to pull it off to the semi-finals, after that - who knows.

Yes that was a great performance by Man City tonight and they should make it through with that scoreline. I also got my bet on this game as I went with over 3.5 goals as I thought many goals would of been scored in this game. Tottenham fought back well to draw and now have a big chance to go through to the quarterfinals with the next leg at home so I think we could finally see an English team win the Champions League this year and I'm really hoping that it is Man City! This could be their year after getting so close the last couple of years.

Acutually, I think that Basel had to park a bus if they wanted to concede less goals. Playing attacking football against City was suicide move.
In Juventus - Spurs match I expected less goals and I was thinking that both teams won't risk much in first match. But it was great match to watch. It's a rare thing when Juve concede 2 goals at their home stadium.
City are looking amazing this year, but there are more than ever real contenders to win Champions league. If in recent seasons Real, Barca, Bayern, Juve was main favorites, this year we also have PSG, City, MU.
Can't wait for tomorrows big match between Real Madrid and P$G.

Good for you man and excellent prediction , I saw your post just minutes before Zvevda vs CSKA match get started , so I didn't manage to put my bet on it , it was pretty clear that the first game should end with a draw but you were lucky for the champions league match between juventus and Tottenham because it was an impressionist come back from Tottenham , juventus did a lot of mistakes and in the end we didn't see motivation from the Italian team to try to win this game and of course Tottenham Hotspur was happy for this result and didn't try to improve it .

Wonderful game that was shown by tottenham last night, they are able to keep up with juventus at home. Whereas juventus only need10 minutes to score 2 goals against hugo lloris. But the goals of harry kane and eriksen forced the match to end in a draw, this big capital for tottenham to qualify for the quarterfinals because the second leg will be in tottenham home. In my mind yesterday matches were just appetizers for a main meal today. Had some obligations so couldn't watch yesterday but I must say that I am very surprised to see Juve - Tott end in 2:2 draw. I thought this will be a match were teams will primarily watch not to concede, but early goals from Juve probably changed dynamic of the match.

Can't wait for Real-PSG to start. I will be playing both teams to score & over 2.5. There is not much to say about this tip. Everybody knows what kind of attack PSG has and the will score for sure today. For Real to have any chances of progression to next stage they have to score at least 2 goals today.

Same tip for Porto - Dortmund game. Both teams have strong attacking options and Liverpool away games have more 4 goals in them on average. Only concern for this tip is that Porto's best striker Aboubakar (sorry if I spelled it wrong) will probably miss this game.

First thought after seeing Spurs vs Juve results:  I think Poch is def gonna be in demand this summer.  I can see Real, PSG and a shock bid from Bayern for his services.

But Real has the edge.  Kane and Hazard most likely going there too.

Amazing performance from the Spurs yesterday, Eriksen was incredible. About Juve, Higuain being the old Higuain, and Buffon making a mistake in the free kick...two factors that could lead to Juventus elimination. They really need Dybala and Matuidi for the next match.

About Basel - Man City, what an embarrassment is Basel, they were playing with a 5-4-1 formation from the start, if you're going to be play on the defensive against a team like City, there's a high chance that you're going to concede a lot goals. Anyways, Manchester City did what they had to do against such mediocre team.
